Daryl Dixon's POV
The lighting above the leaves was a clear indication that I was no longer in my tent, the sun shown clearly through as the wind made way for it. A loud groan escaped my lips, matching the groggy feeling I have at the moment.
What a shitty dream. My eyes flicked on open, just the tiniest bit to see a figure before me, and then another popped on up.
"Why don't you pull that arrow out dummy? You could bind your wound better."
"Sh, he's asleep."
The familiarity of the two voices made me open my eyes a little wider to see the green leaves have two faces to substitute before them.
"...Merle?...Blake?""Hmm, Sugar tits was just telling me a funny story... What's goin' on here? You takin' a siesta or somethin'?"
My eyes went back and forth between darkness and light, but once I focused on Blake a bit better. The light now shown through her hair, illuminating the brown and putting a shine on her smile as she came closer towards."Havin' a shitty day bro."
"Like me to get your pillow? Rub your feet?"
"Screw you."
"You're the one screwed from the looks of it. Or have been screwin'."
His eyes peered over towards Blake, to be greeted by her normal glare that she gives off every once in a while. Especially to everyone the first day of camp, but never to me. Not after the first hour."...All them years I spent tryin' to make a man of you, this is what I get? Look at you. Lying in the dirt like a used rubber. You're gonna die out here, brother. And for what?"
"A girl. They lost a little girl."My voice had come out just as Blake talks, barely a whisper with a lump stuck in her throat. But I was between
"Gotta thing for little girls now?"
Hearing the small slap against his leather jacket, I was proud to tell him to shut up.
"Cause I noticed you ain't out lookin' for old Merle no more..."
"Tried like hell to find you bro."
My main focus was keeping up with this talk, I missed my brother."Like hell you did. You split man. Lit out first chance you got."
"You lit out. All you had to do was wait. We went back for you. Rick and I, we did right by you."
Resting my head deeper into the sand brought a cooling until the reach of a hand felt to mine. Her soft hand, and soon it caressed my cheek. Making me look towards her."This the same Rick that cuffed me to the rooftop in the first place? Forced me to cut off my own hand? This him we're talkin' about here? You his bitch now?"
"Shut the fuck up."
"Or are you his bitch, makin' my brother all soft. He's your bitch I'm takin' at then?"The two of them arguing above me was going to drive walkers closer to my position.
"I ain't nobodies bitch."
"You hear that sugar tits?...You're a joke is what you are, playing errand boy to a bunch of pansy-assess, niggers and democrats. You're nothin' but a freak to them. Redneck trash. That's all you are. They're laughin' at you behind your back...Her too..."
When he gestured off to Blake, she just gave him another glare. But my doubts came back through once again, so I went to close my eyes. But his quick grab to my boot continue to rock back and forth."...You know that, don't you? I got a little news for you son. One day they gonna scrape you off their heels like you was dogshit....Hey...They ain't your kin, your blood...Hell, you had any damn nuts in that sack of yours, you'd got back there and shoot your pal Rick in the face for me.."
The uncontrollable dizziness continued to worsen by the second, and the only clarity was when blackness was converted. But my brother and Blake would not allow it.
