Chapter 131: ↠AnEyeForAnEye↞
__
Aurora Blake Dixon's POV
I was still in bed, not wanting to get up. Not having a class, I didn't feel need. Whatever it might be that caused that to spark within me, I know someone knocked on my door before.
But I didn't bother responding. Perhaps it was Carl, or Rick...Wanting me to watch in on Judith, but I wouldn't know anymore since the hours began to tick on.This level of doubt I was in, I felt like something happened to Daryl's group. Not being able to point my finger to it, did I feel the level of fear continue to eat me up inside. The light was still shining through the window, making the room begin to brighten up until the sun was too far into the horizon to continue any further.
Pushing myself up got me more than I have pondered in the hours.
Looking at the clock did I realize it was close to the afternoon, and I haven't 'slept' like that in years. Not even in the mountains, I loved the morning and the nights. Opening the door did I ever so silently go on to Judith's room. Just waking up from her nap did her smile widen when she saw me.
"Did you sleep alright?...Mmm? I didn't sleep that great...Atleast you did. Yes you did!"
Tickling her stomach before picking her on to my waist, she was getting bigger and bigger every day. Resembling Lori to the extent, but I guess we won't find out if it actually Rick's daughter until...Maybe we'll never know.
Hearing the commotion downstairs. Along with the added bunches of noises, did I set her back down into the play pin. With her favorite stuffed animal, and the added bonus of a small bunny.
Good thing Daryl hasn't seen this fellow just yet, all the jokes would spark with this little thing. Just like the other one we had. Barely hearing the talk, it sounded like Morgan was defending some sort of action. Or probably tattle tailing on my actions. It still tingles in my spine, how I disguised myself as one of them to gain their trust only to knock them back down.
The smallest little cry coming from my daughter, did I pick her back on up. And decided to set myself down at the rocking chair, whomever designed this was given all the furniture for a child.
Who's room was this before...Before everything was shit?
Reading her one of the books within the area, did I find 'if you give a mouse a cookie' on the shelf. I couldn't help but do it as well, but instead of speaking out loud. Did I just do a soft whisper, making her giggle every time I began to talk.
However, once I began to hear the footsteps. Knew someone was either going to check on me or Judith. But once I heard another pair, I began to worry. With nothing more to protect myself or Judith, it better be one of the group members.
"Mom?"
Hearing the small knock coming from the opposite end, but I didn't answer, they probably wanted me to talk. About Daryl, and it wasn't okay that the three of them weren't back just yet.The only way I know that everything will be okay is if I see him. Right here. And right now before me. And that won't happen until those damn walkers are gone.
"Let her rest...She's gonna need it."
"I'm worried. They aren't back yet, and neither is Glenn.""We need to keep a level head. For her sake."
Bouncing up the baby just a little bit, making her position on my body a bit more comfortable for her to stay put on chest. Until the door opened and I was greeted by two surprised men.
