Chapter 51: ↠They'reDegenerates↞

"Bunny we gotta get goin'."
Humming along, looking for his warm body to return do I just see him buttoning his vest back up, before poking me in the leg.

"I understand where I got Pookie from now."
I giggled, before coming on up to level with him. Knowing full well my hair is given mess.

"Cleanin' up today. Burnin' 'em bodies."
I nodded, going over to my dirty clothes do I just pull out last weeks tank top before throwing it on. Grabbing my bow over my shoulders, along with my knife holster did I leave. And he was just behind.

Rounding out to the front do I drop off my bow at the fence, knowing I wont be needing it at the moment. However I did take my bandana, knowing full well my hair is going to get into my face or the smell will hit me soon.

I might have dealt with the blood smell, but the burning one was never a good thing to take in.

"Alright, let's get the other car in. We'll park 'em in the west entry of the yard."
Seeing as how Rick and everyone else were all ready for the day, I just stood on back. Looking to see what work that needs to be done. They moved the fallen over truck to the side to allow entry.

"Good. Our vehicles camped out there look like a giant 'vacancy' sign."

Daryl said in a joking manner, the leader was giving orders. And I was just waiting to hear mine, knowing full well today is going to be a long one.

"After that, we need to load up these corpses. So we can burn them."
"Gonna be a long day."
Carol snuck up behind me with the extra help, assuming that she would be too busy being a wet nurse to help us with this sort of thing. But it was better than being cooped up inside, and I get that feeling. T-Dog gave me a 'goodmorning' nod, and I silently gave one back.

"Where's Glenn and Maggie? We could use some help."
Giving a small side eye to Daryl, only to be greeted by one had a smirk fall to my face as I looked on down.

"Up in the guard tower..."

I said, T-Dog let out a soft chuckle realizing what must have gone down in that area of the prison. But Rick's expression was purely laughable.
"The Guard tower? They were just up there last night."
Tilting my head a bit to the side to share my response for that. I couldn't say anything about it. They were in love, the kind of love I'm still trying to sort on out.

"Glenn! Maggie!"

His rough voice permitted the air and seeing them pop up from the floor had me chuckle, as Glenn calmly exited the area and questioned us. All while putting his pants back on.

"You comin'!?"
"What?"
Holding my hand by my face, trying to hide my laugh wasn't necessary as I found everyone else was doing it as well. Daryl was surely getting a kick out of this, probably proving his point on being discreet.

"You comin'?!...Come on, we could use a hand."
Just as I was following Daryl towards a good place to start packing the bodies, do I hear T's voice call on out to Rick.

"Hey, Rick..."

His smile from the last conversation drifted down, and before I could even begin. Do I see the two remaining prisoners walking to the fence. I was shortly worried, if they finished perhaps they could lend us a hand. Or better yet, more food. I've been dying to get a fully cooked meal go on in the kitchen.
