Chapter 65: SavedAndFound

Daryl Dixon's POV

The car ride was silent, everyone was too amped to saying. No more than the women's directions to the place, and even that was brief and quick. We soon parked, giving us a good distance between us and them before getting on out of the car.
First one out, running on over to the trunk to get my shit. My pack clipped at the top and the arrows holding out in the back. I was ready.

It took me a moment to realize I was off in the woods, for the first time in the given week. Sort of relaxed me and my heart if I could stop thinking about what is happening to Blake at the moment.

"You know, what you did for me, for my baby, while I was...Working things out...Thank you."

"It's what we do."
Conjoined effort between Blake, myself and everyone else in the prison did. She was just more...Dedicated in doing so. She got herself kidnapped in turn of doing it. Getting baby food, everything else we in desperate need of.
My awareness around me suddenly spiked seeing the few Walkers coming around, I whispered off to Rick. And his order was to get everyone down to the ground.

"Formation. No gunfire."
Good thing for this chick over here, using a damn katana like it's nothing. I fired one arrow, backing up for Oscar to take one down as well. Truthfully he was a good addition, one easily trained.

But looking out and around did I see we were being surrounded quicker than I could have guessed.

"We're surrounded."
"This way."

We made it out of harms way, running to an old cabin for a moment. Like this was old time, running and running until we couldn't run anymore. I'll say one thing, she isn't allowed of the prison after this anymore.

"The smell, it's loud."
Looking for the source of the smell reminded me of Blake's alone camp. Seemed to be hitting Michonne as well, since we shared the same look. Wonder why she never mentioned her before? Bad meeting? Guess Blake was never in the right state of mind to be taking in strangers by herself.

"What the hell is that?"
"It's gotta be a fox or what's left of one...I guess Lassie went home."
The poor thing must have died of starvation, hopefully wont bite us in the ass as we're leaving. Don't think I've seen no animals be effect by this shit.

After finding a guy just laying out in his bed taking a nap with a dead dog in the one room house with him. Made the mistake of pointing at Rick. We left him for bait as we walked out the other side.

Not the most humane thing to do, but I need Blake to be alright.
Wasn't long after dark where we found the camp, big ass walls with more than a dozen people patrolling around it. Heavily armed. The light above just showed how advanced they are compared to us.

This was war. Stealing our people from a run.

It was then did Michonne go on off on her own. Trying a different approach I'm assuming, and I was quick to follow her. Not about to lose Blake or my chance to find her.

The rest of the group followed in pursuit of what seemed to be a way in, the wooden bars above we cut down. Making it easy to enter in this store here.

"This is where you were held?"
"I was questioned."
"Any idea where else they could be?"
Looking out the window do I see people walking around, chatting about dinner. Scolding her for wrong information, she said there was a damn curfew.
