Chapter 108: ↠Not A Lie↞

As the sky started to grow darker, we ended up falling farther and farther behind, none of them noticed though. Too busy focusing on the mystery man who killed their friend, which seems odd since they probably spooked the man in question.
But then again. I spent half my time living at the prison looking for someone who killed dozens of people. Guess I don't feel that comfortable with this man out here as much as these assholes before us.

With Daryl having the assault rifle around his chest, bow in hand. And my backpack on his back. While I had a very nice stolen gift he given me. I liked it, more than I thought I would. 

Wish it was a bit bigger considering it's already overflowing with supplies, but it was fine at the moment.

"Hold up...This is perfect. We can just keep walkin' straight."
My eyes wandered on over to his, watching as the trail of men made their way back into the brush for whatever reason other than to kill this one man. And so I nodded. We ventured off for a good bit of time. No longer than ten minutes before finding the trail of smoke. It couldn't have been theirs already, they wouldn't have stopped.
If anything we just wanted to check it on out.
"Now who's gonna count down the ball dropper with me, huh?"

We heard through the woods, I for one wanted to see if it was anyone from the group that might have defended themselves to the wrong group. So I urged him to follow me, peeking through my scope before running forward. Him taking the lead clear out from the underbrush.

"Joe!"
Daryl yelled, ruining the count for the leader. And look what I was right about, Rick and Michonne just sitting at gunpoint. Rested on their knees looking for a prayer. The beading level of hope was at a high since we reconnected, just had these assholes in the way now.

But from account, I knew aiming my bow off towards Joe would be the worst idea imaginable. So I stood behind Daryl.

"Hold up..."
"You're stopping me on eight, Daryl."
"Just hold up."
He went on into the circle that aimed all their said weapons off to the man who must have caused trouble. Somewhere I must have known it was someone from our group, but never did I suspect Rick.

"This is the guy that killed Lou, so we got nothing to talk about."
"The thing about nowadays is we got nothing but time. Say your piece Daryl."
The asshole to the left of my husband spoke on up, just holding his rifle more firmly than before. But once Joe spoke, everyone just felt more at ease. Especially Rick, whose eyes fell on off towards the car.

Where Carl was in fear of one man coming near him with a knife.

"These people, you're gonna let em go. These are good people."
"Now I think Lou would disagree with you on that. I'll, of course, have to speak for him and all-cause your friend here strangled him in a bathroom."
Of fucking course Rick did. I knew he would come on back around to his old ways. But at the moment, I needed to prepare for what was about to happen. As my bow lowered down to one hand, I managed to get my pistol into the other. Making it difficult to see the in darkness of tonight.

"You want blood, I get it...Take it from me man. Come on."
As Daryl dropped his bow to the ground, followed by his assault rifle around his neck. Joe looked on over towards me, and there was no chance in hell I was going to do the same. If anything, I was going to kill the first asshole that has the balls to attack him.
"This man killed our friend. You say he's good people. See...Now that right there...Is a lie. It's a lie!"
As someone came on over towards Daryl, clocking him in the stomach. I pulled my gun to fire, only to realize I pulled the one with the empty clip. Which allowed two of the group members to come on over towards me. Grabbing my hand and letting the gun fall to the ground.

 I did however get to slap one with the butt of it. Making the hit count for it almost stopped his hold on me. As I tried fighting of the two, kicking, screaming. Yelling for Daryl.
