Chapter 75: ↠TheTruthHurts

__

It's been hours. The sun's been dimming for the past couple of minutes and I still stayed within the bunk, not moving. Not coming out to eat, or even touching the bowl they brought me.

I think everyone got the memo because each time someone passed by they would peek on in, seeing me 'sleeping' . Assuming that everyone was scattered, one person did come in.

And I couldn't believe who it was.

"Hey princess..."
I chuckled. Rubbing my eyes like a fool as I looked on over to him with the saddest expression possibly.

"You did me a favor by tellin' my brother a different story, but I don't think I can live with it."
"You'd tell him?"
"Hate seein' that I broke a person more than they already were...It ain't like I asked for backstories when I did it."
Nodding did I think of another sort of outcome for this. He's gonna scream, yell and even punch. I just don't know his reaction towards me will be like. And I don't think I can watch that unfold, I can't even imagine if he'd-

"...I don't know what he'd do."
"Haven't seen my baby brother cry in a long ass time."
"He cried when he thought you were dead...same thing happened we thought I was dead."
The chuckled we shared was clearing the air, I don't know I why I'm so upset with what is going on at the moment. We cared for Daryl, that was our common interest other than surviving.

"I'm sorry."
"I know ...just don't want either one of you to get hurt."
"That's sweet princess. But in this world, secrets our deadly...And so is silence...Remember that."
Was the last thing he had said before walking out of the cell. Hearing his feet run up the steps had my heart beat faster and faster as the time went on. So I hurried on out of my cell, bypassing everyone who strolled on in. And one shared look to Michonne did she know what was about to happen, coming over  to walk me outside.

"Does he know?"
"He's about to..."
I mumbled under my breath, looking at my way of walking from up above did she bring me out towards the fenced in area. This was the end.

Daryl Dixon's POV

Sitting in my cell, twisting and pulling the tips of my arrows as a distraction for the women just a floor below. Fuck I shouldn't have left, the group needed me now. And I just stormed off to prove a point that Blake would have trusted from the start, especially when she's talking to Merle and not myself.

Whatever that's about.

The small tapping of steps came on up, following through to my cell door. But my reality would have been Blake coming here, but in the truth. It was Carol, I don't mind her. She's kind enough to be the den mother of the group, which we're surely lacking at this particular moment. Her back holds against the wall as she smiles on over towards me.

"Haven't had a chance to say I'm glad you came back."
"To what? All this?"
I scoffed when she sounded all appreciative, so with the but of the arrow do I motion it around to prove my statement. And that seemed to invite her to sit on the bed with me. The one I used to share with Blake.

"Give Blake some time...She hasn't been with us all that much."
"So she did go silent?"
"No. Not once...I get he's your brother, but he's not good for you. Blake is. Don't let either one of them bring you down."
"So she just ain't talkin' to me?"
Taking in the deep breath I've been holding in for a while does she tilt her head backwards, I knew she was going to round the thing back to Merle. That's everyones big fear at the moment.
