Chapter 133: ↠JesusTakeTheWheel↞

__

As the sun began to set over the horizon, I felt my body slowly shift closer and closer to the window. Before shutting my eyes, never was good with long car rides. Especially at night and no GPS to signal how far is left.

Good thing it was silent too. With me trying to fall asleep, Rick wasn't tempted to sing and play music at all. Leaving it a nice normal ride unless it was just a question or two from one another.

"She's sleeping."
"Good. She can yell at me tomorrow then."
The silence relieved itself yet again, only to hear the little grumbles of Daryl behind me. Whatever was going through his mind, an apology, an idea or whatever it was. I just wanted the decent amount of sleep before being waken up again.

"You know, I was thinking...back before we went out to he quarry. The morning after Red and Pete. You said we shouldn't be looking for people no more. You were right."
"No...I was wrong. You were right."

The squeaking of the gate just sounded about, and I was just about had one eye opened. In time to see Daryl and Rick just haul that guy on into the infirmary, thinking about walking on back home wasn't an option. So I just let my head rest on back to the side, hoping to get yet another minute of sleep. Until my door opened and I felt the shock of almost falling out, but a body, a rough one at that caught me before meeting the ground.

"...Asshole."
I mumbled, rubbing my eyes and grabbing my shit before rising to my feet. He took the rifle from my hands through, and walked me back to the house.

"I can carry you."

"Shh...We're almost there anyway."
He grumpled, leading me towards the house for my eyes were still threatening to close on down. Leading me up the stairs and into our room without anyone stopping us, did he threw me a change of clothes.

And like the zombie I was, did I just change into them before gently into bed.

"I'm watching that Jesus fellow. You gonna be alright?"
"Noooo...Come back."
I mumbled, crawling to him from my side through to his side. But slumping down when I realized someone did need to watch him, and instead of arguing further. I allowed him to leave, say a small 'goodnight' before sighing back on into the pillow.

With a gasp of cool air, I render myself sitting up in this dark room, alone. Breathing in and out, trying to wipe the sweat off my forehead that began to drench my skin and hair. My husband was still not back, and by the time it was. I doubt he will be until tomorrow.

Guarding Jesus...Cannot wait to tell everyone that story tomorrow. Probably leave the part out where there was a large thing of food, otherwise we might end up having a dive team go out and get it.

Having my elbow resting to my arched legs to I begin to shake my head, today was crazy. And I was not about to forget how Dixon called me Aurora, wether it slipped out or anything in the sort. I did not like him doing it in the tone he did.

While we're making love.

Fine.

When we're about to make love.

Fine.

But not when he's angry, it reminds me too much of my father and how his sick tone just destroyed my likability for my name. Instead, I just grabbed my pack of cigarets and a coat before making my way on downstairs.
