Chapter 75: ↠Manipulation

__

"Are you alone?!"
Rick yells on out. Seeing her just behind the contained walker, reminded me of Hershel making Rick do that strategy, dating back all the way to the farm.

I could have told everyone that people could be hidden like this. Michonne did that before, chained the Walker's outside of my hut before coming on in, their scent is so foul it masks and categorizes the dead and the living.

"Open the gate!"
"Are you alone?!"
She screamed out his name as the Walker's knew she was not one of them, the yelling of communication was probably not the best strategy. But Michonne's reaction to when she knew our names  surprised her more than us...She knew Andrea?
Rick threw Daryl the set of keys as they allowed her entry. But the reaction to her meeting a changed Rick was priceless. I disliked her before, I don't know how I feel about her now. With the governor? That just adds to the fact.
"Hands up! Turn around."
But the moment Daryl pulled his bow up to her head, and they slammed her against the fence. I knew this wouldn't end well, everyone looked on around to one another.

This wasn't about trust, this was about survival. And our leader was surely pushing that statement.

Allowing everyone else to come in after me was the set plan, but of course Daryl stayed on outside. I coward down, before going on in after the rest. Seeing her look on around to the area that we were living in, hugging people within the group.

"After you saved me I thought you were dead..."
Carol said within the embrace, it was quick for Andrea to acknowledge the fact that Hershel was missing a leg. That Glenn and I were a mess, it was all so hard for her to take in. And after seeing the bleak area we all live in, it's probably more than she could handle.

"I can't believe this. Where's Shane?...And Lori?"
Daryl looked on off to Rick, I'm sorry...Everyone looked on off to Rick, I guess the term 'didn't survive' was good enough. He killed him, but he would have died otherwise, that's personally okay in my book. But the second she mentioned Lori, I faltered because the stares turned towards me.

"She had a girl. Lori didn't survive.

"Neither did T-Dog."
"I'm so sorry...Carl...Rick I-...You all live here?"
That seemed offensive. They way she stated the question, perfect example of not liking her. Her judgement, and the fact that her first question within the compound was 'where was Shane?' just symbolized who she was.

"Here and the cell block."

"There? Well, can I go in?"

Daryl shifted from his position sitting on the table, I on one hand stayed with Michonne near the steps. Giving me a chance to stay off the foot but stills standing, I feel smaller when I'm on the ground. Not sort of the image I see myself anymore.

"I won't allow that."
"I'm not an enemy, Rick."
"We had that field and courtyard until your boyfriend tore down the fence with a truck and shot us up....Left Blake in the field with a bad leg."
Her head shot back over towards me, and I acted by playing with the scraping metal that was chipping from my thumb. I ignored it, her concern. The fact that her boyfriend did this, let Merle rape me as a strategy to get me to talk?
"He said you fired first..."
"Well he's lyin'."
"He killed an inmate who survived in here."
With Andrea finally coming to agreement with what was happening, her hand met her face as she understood. Maybe we can get her onto our side, say we kidnapped her. Deal with this fucking governor, I don't know. If he's her boyfriend he'd want her back?
