Dark Blue Scales and Shiny Gold Crowns

   Once upon a time, there were two princes that were twins. There was only one way to settle which of the Cipher twins was to become king. They will have to capture a dragon. Most speculated that the kindest at heart, Will Cipher, would not be able to complete task. Well, at least until he came back one day holding a rope tied to an enormous dragon. Dark blue scales glittered in the light of the bright moon. A few hours later, his brother returned, almost dead, bloodied and burnt. It was clear who would become king. This was how the future king came back with a dragon so impressive and beautiful.

   Will was walking through the forest looking for a dragon, unsure he really wanted to do this or not. Suddenly, a dark shadow flew overhead. An almost teal colored dragon swooped down. When it landed, the ground shook violently. "What are you doing here?" Will was stiff with fear. "I-I wish to c-capture a dragon and p-present it to my kingdom s-so I could become k-king." It roared in outrage. "All you foolish mortals ever want with us is to kill us for sport and use us as weapons or slaves! I will avenge the lives of my brothers and sisters by taking yours!" And with that, it attacked. But Will was very clever and managed to dodge most of the attacks. Another roar echoed throughout the forest. A dark blue dragon came hurtling towards the attacking one. They fought, and the blue one won. The other flew off. The blue turned it's head to address the young prince. "You must be very brave and clever to face him and still be alive. I respect you. What is it that brought you here?" "I-I have a twin b-brother, Bill, who is doing the s-same. W-Whoever successfully captures a d-dragon and presents it to the k-kingdom gets to become king. I-I wish to be the o-one who succeeds." The dragon nodded. "I will offer myself up. You will be a noble king." The young nodded. "Thank you." "What is your name?" The dragon seemed genuinely interested. "William Cipher. Please, just call me Will." "Yes, Prince Will. As you wish. I am Mylaxmisonius. In your tongue, it would be 'Mason'. Just call me Dipper." Will nodded. He put the rope around the great beast's neck and led him to the kingdom.

   Over the years, King Will and the dragon became... close. The king spent more time with the dragon than anyone else. It was the dragon's company he preferred most. Eventually, he was even allowed to ride the dragon. The dragon let Will and Will only to ride him. He thought highly of the man, reminding the bluenette every day that he was special to him. The king always laughed at the dragon whenever he did something funny. He hugged it's neck whenever he needed comfort or was just really happy. The whole kingdom could see that they found more interests in each other than anyone else. Most of them smiled as they thought that the two were definitely more than friends. Nobody ever said it though. Not even the dragon nor the king, no matter how much it killed them that they wouldn't admit to each other. But maybe, one day, they would tell each other their secrets and live happily ever after.
