Will and his brothers walked around the dump, looking. Eventually, they found little shed-like structures. Tad smirked. "Mom says she can't afford one but she wants one, so we're just gonna get one here." Bill looked at him confusedly. "A homeless person?" Tad shook his head. "No! An inu puppy!" Will squealed, which made both boys look at him with a raised brow. Will looked at them. "What? He's just so cute!," he pointed at one of the sheds. A small, brown inu peered through the entrance at them. It saw them all looking and cautiously stepped out. "H-Hi..." Will 'aww'-ed and said, "Hi!" The inu smiled shyly and slowly made its way over to them, limping. Tad snorted. "Are you a boy or girl?," he asked uninterestedly. The inu cocked its head in confusion before answering, "Boy..." Tad smirked. "Good. I'll be more familiar with your body while I'm playing with you." Will gave the inu a sympathetic look. Bill grimaced. "Tad, please don't do that to him," Will pleaded. Tad snorted. "Already made up my mind." Will shivered and sighed. He walked over to the inu. "Hey, little inu—" "My name's Dipper." "Oh, right. Okay. So... Dipper, would you like to come live with us?" Dipper squinted at them. "Hmm... Can I sleep in your room?," he asked Will. Will looked surprised before nodding. Dipper looked to the side and nodded too. He bit his lip and looked at his current home before looking back at Will. "Well... I suppose we should get going. I'm kinda hungry..." Will laughed. "I have some beef jerky in my backpack. You want it?" Dipper nodded eagerly and Will pulled out the jerky and gave it to Dipper. Dipper ate on the way there.
Will walked into his room to see Dipper eating the kibble he left in the bowl on the floor. He sighed before grabbing something and leaving the room. Dipper looked up once the door closed and decided to investigate. He snook behind Will and hid under a desk while eavesdropping on Tad and Will's conversation. "You ready, runt? This is gonna be fun. Especially since you're doing this all just to keep that mutt untouched. Hah!" Will grimaced as soon as Tad touched him. Tad growled and started to take his torture further.
Dipper waited until they were too trapped up in what they were doing to sneak out of Tad's room. He went to Bill's room and jumped up next to the sleeping Bill. He curled up next to him and whined for comfort. Bill woke up and tried to calm the pup down. He stroked Dipper's back until they both drifted off.
After Tad's... session, Will looked in his room for Dipper so that he had someone to comfort him a little, but his favorite puppy wasn't there. He panicked and went into Bill's room. "Hey have you seen—" "Dipper? He's right here. He came in and woke me up with his whining." Will pet Dippers head and said, "Sorry about that. I didn't expect him to act that way." Bill smiled at Dipper and replied to Will, "Honestly, I kinda liked the attention." Will snorted. "Well... alright. Come on, Dip." Dipper whined and followed Will back to his room. He jumped into bed with Will and held his owner tight, snuggling into him for the reassurance that he's alright and temporarily safe.
{A few weeks later}
"Dipper! What are you doing?!" Dipper looked up from his position on Tad. Bill and Will were staring at him, Will's mouth agape. He growled and forced Tad harder against the ground and bit the hand that tried to push his face away. He tried to bite Tad's windpipe, but Will pulled him off of his purple-haired brother. Dipper snapped his teeth at him, but stopped immediately once he realized who was holding him back. He whined and tore himself out of Will's grip, starting to back away out of shame. 'I was only trying to make Tad stop hurting you like that...' Will tried to reach a hand out, but Dipper whimpered and ran for the door. Bill grabbed him and pinned him down, earning a yelp of pain from the young inu. Will ran over. "Stop! You're hurting him!" Bill looked at him like he was insane, but let go. Dipper arched his back slightly in fear, lowering his head and whining. He eyed Will, who was slowly inching towards him. "Dipper... Why did you do that?" Dipper flinched. "I wanted to protect you...," he admitted. Will sighed and picked up his small hybrid pet. "Come on, puppy. Let's get you cleaned up." Dipper's tail gave a slight wag as they entered the bathroom. Will dampened a washcloth and washed the blood off of Dipper's mouth, arms, and hands. He then helped Dipper out of his T-shirt and shorts, leaving him in just his boxers. He put the clothes in the wash and came back to carry Dipper to his room. Dipper blushed slightly and held on to Will tightly. Will set him down on his bed and sat down next to him. "Dipper...," Will trailed off, staring at the ground. Dipper whined. Will sighed and turned to him, holding his knees close to his chest. "Dipper, I know that he does some... bad things to me, but... you shouldn't do that... It made you seem... animalistic. Wild. Insane. Whatever word that fits. You just didn't seem like the normal you, you know? It scared me to see you like that." Dipper looked anywhere except in Will's direction. Will tilted his chin up so that his gaze met his own. He closed the gap between their faces and gave Dipper a gentle kiss. He pulled back shortly after and said, "Don't look at me like that. I still love you the same." Dipper looked to the side and blushed. "I-If you really did love me, you w-would get rid of me for my own good." Will shook his head. "Never. You're going to be stuck with me for the rest of your life, Dipper." Dipper blushed and tried to smile, but instead made a goofy face, making Will laugh. He pulled Dipper into a hug and traced shaped into his back with his finger. Dipper nuzzled Will's neck and sighed in content. They stayed like that until night fell. They went to bed cuddling and nuzzling each other.
