Dipper trekked through the woods, not really following any trail. He was just looking for something sustainable. He didn't dare snoop around in the burnt-down buildings of what was once Gravity Falls for any sustenance. His reasons were; one, because the still-standing buildings were extremely unstable, and two, because the dragons. They circled the sky every so often to search for stragglers. That's how his sister went. He basically became a sociopath after that*. He didn't trust anything here not to harm him. All the monsters went mad after the dragons came. They wanted to survive. They'd do anything to. Dipper caught the gnomes feeding off of a human corpse. He moved on, only vomiting once he was a safe distance away. The woods were sick now. It's not a good choice for survival, but for some reason Dipper couldn't leave Gravity Falls. He knew that there was a barrier keeping the supernatural from leaving, but it was now affecting him, and he didn't know why.... Maybe he became supernatural somehow? He did learn how to use magic. He sighed, continuing on. He needed to find something to eat. His stomach felt like the bottomless hole that was in the back of what used to be Dipper's home. He'd give anything to have that place back...
* (A/N) Just like Thistleclaw did when Snowfur died... Sorry if you don't read Warriors, I just had to include this.
Dipper finally came across a large cave. The mouth opened up to about the size of one of the smaller dragons he's seen. He backed up, feeling apprehensive. He didn't want to encounter a dragon. Ever. Yet... if one lived in here, it would be small, right? Dipper shook his head. He's not that desperate, is he? Dipper froze as he heard a noise inside the cave. He paused to listen. Snoring. The sound was snoring. That helped him make up his mind. He was going to kill a dragon.
As soon as Dipper went into the cave, the snoring got louder, bouncing off the cave walls. He walked slowly, his eyes still adjusting to the limited amount of light. Soon enough, he reached the cavern. A small shaft of light revealed what must be the dragon's face. Dipper froze, shocked. 'This thing's fuckin' beautiful!,' he yelled inside his head. The scales were mainly baby blue. The scaled lining its spine were silver, and that was the same for the scaled on the wings. The skin on the wings was a glistening white color, the same as the beasts horns and claws. As he scales led down to the tail, they became a sort of sea foam green in coloring. The scales on the bottom half of its jaw all the way to the underbelly* were ice blue. Dipper had to refrain from reaching out and letting his hand ghost over the creature's scales. He gulped. Suddenly, he didn't think this was such a good idea. Yet, he still remembered plain as day his sister's death. A gorgeous golden dragon was the one to do it. Who's to say this one won't do the same. Dipper sighed softly, then took up position in front of the dragon's head. He took his blade out of the sheath and held it up over its head, readying himself. As soon as he gathered up the nerve to swing down and end the creature's life by stabbing it in the brain, he felt something brush up against his leg. He jumped, and the blade clattered to the floor, skidding a few feet away. The beast was awake now. Slowly, it got up. Finally, once it was on its feet, it looked at him. Dipper could see anger in its eyes. Anger and hurt. He had no idea why it felt hurt, but Dipper knew why it was angry. Sure that was going to become just another burnt corpse within a few seconds, Dipper raced over to where the blade slid off to. Before he got there, he was knocked over with an icy blast. It wasn't fire, which could have instantly killed him with its intense heat, but tiny ice crystals blasted out of the creature's throat. He felt jabs of pain, lurks pinpricks of it all over his body. He hit the ground, but somehow managed to get back up before he was hit again. He made it over to the blade and gripped tightly onto the handle. The dragon blasted him with ice gain, but this time he managed to remain standing. He dashed over to the beast, planning to just stick the sword in it's throat and be done with it. However, the world had other plans. The dragon gave him a look so full of fear Dipper just had to stop and contemplate what he was about to do. The tip of the sword was pushed up against the soft spot on the dragon's throat, ready to end it just like that. Yet, the dragon's eyes were full of such humanlike emotions that made made Dipper get taken aback. He stood there, shocked, as he gazed into the electric blue eyes of the beast. Fear. That's what Dipper saw. And even more, an understanding that it was about to die. That made Dipper feel sick. He couldn't do it. Even if it was just about to kill him, he just couldn't bring himself to shove the blade in and end it all for the large beast. Instead, a few tears slipped past his eyes as he dropped the blade. He was giving up. This incident showed he was too weak. He just signed his death wish. He backed up, shifting his gaze to the floor as he began to silently sob. "J-J-Just kill me alr-ready, d-damn it," he forced out, "I'm just some pathetic kid who lost his sister to one of you murderous beasts." He fell to the ground and brought his knees up to his chest, hugging them tightly. After a few seconds of crying, he looked up at the dragon, about to shout at it to kill him again. Yet, there were the emotions again. In its eyes. There was an understanding and pity that made Dipper struggle not to throw up. "Damn it," he whimpered, "Why won't you just do it?" The dragon made a noise and began to move forward. Dipper buried his face in his knees, hoping it was just going to give him what he wanted. What he deserved. A quick and easy death.
