Will looked over at his brothers. They both had their guardians already. Why didn't he? Was he not supposed to? Is he just a pathetic, weak, normal person? Why did his brothers get one and not him? His eldest brother, Tad, got a male guardian by the name of Juno. The guardian was a demon-turned-guardian as a sort of jail time or something. Same went for Mabel, Bill's guardian. Yet he didn't get one. The two guardians were siblings, Juno being Mabel's younger half-brother. They constantly said they had another sibling who could very likely be Will's, but they seemed to be hiding a lot about him from him and his brothers. They said that he was a recluse, though, and that he probably refused to feel the bond yet, therefore pushing Will's off.

One day, Mabel turned to Juno with a horrified expression after looking at her supposedly magical smartphone. "They captured him," she said in a hoarse whisper. "Who?," Bill asked, sitting on the floor. Although the blond was typically annoying and preferred to torture people slowly, he still was extremely smart, and he knew something important was up. Mabel cleared her throat and turned to Will. "You might just be getting a guardian after all." Will's heart skipped a beat. Yet, Mabel didn't seem particularly happy about it. Her face was tight, and she kept giving Juno a look full of dread. Bill exchanged glances with Tad and they turned to look at him as well. Juno was staring right back at Mabel, his eyes narrowed and face serious. "Get your knives," he ordered, "There might be some resistance."

*Time skip*

Will knelt on the ground, hands gripping the back of his neck. Searing pain was focused on that single spot. It felt like someone was holding a hot coal against his neck. Mabel was there, telling him that it was just part of the process of receiving your guardian. Finally, after the pain subsides, Mabel checked the back of his neck, expecting to see a particular symbol. Sure enough, a neon blue pine tree was on the back of his neck. She tightened her lips and walked away to talk with Juno. He nodded and stood by the door. Mabel took a place by the window. They kept watch for what seemed like hours. After a while, Juno said, "Maybe he doesn't care. Maybe he just won't come." Mabel shook her head. "I know him. He might try to kill him, or he'll snuggle right up next to him, purring like a cat. Be prepared for either." Juno snorted. "What's if he does both?" Mabel rolled her eyes and didn't answer. Soon enough after things became silent again, Mabel jumped up from her chair by the window. "He's here." Juno nodded and opened the door, stepping outside. After 5 minutes of tense silence, Juno came back in, claw marks on his arm. "He's coming in. I tried to stop him. The guy's got a bite like a mongoose." Right after, the door pushed open again. Someone resembling Mabel stepped in, wearing a black and blue suit. His pupils were neon blue, and he gave her a death glare. "Where," he demanded, not even presenting it like a question. Mabel held her head up high. "Arrogant bitch," he spat. He looked over at the group of 3 kids. Will cowered there, taking a step back from the sharp gaze. His eyes flickered for a moment. "It's him, isn't it?," he asked Mabel, still looking at Will. Mabel stood in front of him. "Touch him and we will kill you." The demon raised his head so he was taller than Mabel. It effectively gave him a more threatening appearance. He drew his lips back in a snarl. "He's my charge," he pointed out angrily. Juno stood next to Mabel. Glancing between the two, he finally met the imposter's gaze. "Dipper," he asked, his voice level, "Do you plan on hurting Will?" "Is that his name?," Dipper asked, trying to look over Mabel's shoulder at Will, "That's cute." Juno looked surprised, while Mabel looked doubtful. She hesitated before sighing and backing up to allow Dipper to see Will again. Will flinched, but slowly made his way closer. "M-Mabel? Wh-Who's that?," he asked carefully. "He's the guy you've been paired with. The one we've been talking about." Will shook a little. "Can I see him?" Mabel bit her lip and she moved out of the way a little bit. He looked up at Dipper and felt a small burning sensation on the back of his neck. Dipper seemed to as well as he scratched his neck, making an uncomfortable face. He looked down at Will and his pupils widened a little. Juno smirked, but quickly hid it. However, his eyes still betrayed his amusement. Dipper held out a clawed finger and traced Will's jawline with it. Will felt a strong sense of security wash over him, replacing the burning on the back of his neck. He remembered when Mabel explained to him what this meant and felt happiness bloom within him; his guardian accepted him, and he accepted his guardian. Dipper's gaze was soft as he looked down at Will. Mabel grinned at him. "Does this mean you accept him?" Dipper glanced at her, looking annoyed, and Will laughed quietly, covering his mouth with his hand to muffle it to the best of his ability. Dipper obviously still heard him, but only gave him a glance to let him know he heard the small sound of amusement. Mabel, completely loosing her previously serious demeanor, ran out of the room squealing. She was protective of family, Will guessed. Juno nudged Dipper's shoulders with his head. Dipper smiled at him and rubbed the shorter male's head soothingly. Will remembered that Juno was sensitive and part cat, and that he and Dipper used to be close. Juno smiled up at his half-brother, fond memories seemingly flashing before his eyes. Dipper held Juno's head close to his, still petting it, as he looked back at Will. He beckoned the bluenet over, and Will did so sheepishly. Juno smiled at him as he neared, then looked back up at Dipper, obviously glad he didn't have to end up fighting him. Will looked up at Dipper, who was a whole foot taller than him. Dipper reached down with his left hand— his only free hand— and cupped Will's face with it. Will blushed slightly and placed his hand over Dipper's. Juno purred louder and watched Will with amusement shining in his eyes. Will shot him a look and Dipper chuckled. "You're cute," he said. Will went red, causing Dipper to laugh. He let go of Juno and bent over, taking Will's face in his hands. "I don't want to end up with a powerless charge, though. Makes it even harder to protect you." He rubbed his thumb along Will's cheek. "However, if you were bonded to me in a different way..." Juno's eyes went wide. "Dipper, he's fifteen! He still has a life ahead of him! He can't be mates with you! Is it even allowed for a charge and their guardian to... You know! Frickle-frackle! Clash ding-a-lings! Umm... Battle for dominance over the planet of Anus!" "Dear gods, will you stop." Juno looked over to see Will giving Dipper an uncomfortable look. Dipper looked exasperated, rolling his eyes. "We're not clashing... whatever the hell you said." Juno looked confused. "So... You're gonna wait until he's eighteen." Dipper deadpanned. "Y'know what, sure. 'Ey, Will, imma penetrate your anus when you're eighteen. Get ready for it." Will laughed nervously. "Y-Yeah, um, Juno? People don't typically have to wait 'til they're eighteen to lose their virginity..." Juno made a face of realization. "Oh, okay. So, when are you and Dipper gonna—" "Juno," Dipper said, "No." Juno gave him a disappointed look. "At least let me live long enough to see the kid." Dipper coughed. "Okay, well now that that's over... I'm tired. I'm gonna just... hit the hay." Will ran to the door. "I'll show you where my room is! You can sleep there for now." Dipper, looking just a tiny bit uncomfortable, nodded and followed him out the door. "So you're gonna bang tonight?" "JUNO!," Dipper yelled.
