Will's condition is one of the more extreme versions, so please don't feel offended by this.

Dipper followed Mabel as their parents led them towards another family. "Kids, this is the Cipher family. Say hi," their mother ordered. Mabel said, "Hey there!," while Dipper hid behind his twin and waved silently. Their father spoke up. "We want you two to be friends with their children. One of them is mute and the other is mentally slow. Mabel, I hope that you could easily make friends with Bill since you both are so destructive." Mabel grinned at the blond one and he grinned back. He could hear them, but he couldn't speak to them. Bill's mother handed him a tablet. After typing out a few words, Bill pressed enter and a robotic voice said, "I can't wait to show you my room." Mabel giggled and ran over to them to shake Bill's hand. Dipper's mother leaned over a bit to be able to talk to him. "Will is mentally slow, so I hope your patience would come in handy when dealing with him." She leaned back up when she addressed the other pair of adults. "Dipper has a trust disorder that prevents him from making friends. I hope he'll take to Will as quickly as Mabel is taking to Bill." Their parents agreed and pushed Will forward lightly. "Go say hello to Dipper. He wants to be your friend. Don't scare him." Dipper felt patronized, but bit back a comment out of respect and fear. Will walked over to him and held out his hand. Dipper carefully took it. Will didn't seem to have mastered the hand shake yet because all he did was to a weird sort of twisting motion, then pulled back so quickly that Dipper jumped. Will reached for his hand again and took it in his own, holding it a bit too tightly as he pulled Dipper towards his room. He sat down on a fluffy rug in the corner of the room and pulled Dipper down next to him. "Do you wanna... p-play games?" Dipper watched as Will pulled out a big blue tablet and handed it to him. He took it carefully. Will turned it on for him, smiling. He pointed at a game with a picture of a car on it. "That game is g-good its-about cars an' ya-drive 'em to win... the game..." Dipper thought it sounded like all one sentence, and it was slurred a little, so he didn't fully understand. Next, Will pointed to a game Dipper recognized called Angry Birds. "'N' tha's the one when ya-shoot the pigs-'th th-the birds an' try tuh poof 'em." Dipper laughed. Will started tearing up a bit. "A-Are you laughing at-me?" Dipper pressed up against his side. "I'm not laughing at you, Will. I think poofing the pigs is a funny way to put it." Will looked at him with a confused expression. "So I'm not-'mbar-bear... 'mbearsing to you...?" Dipper shook his head. "No." Will snuggled up next to Dipper. "Okay." Dipper played Angry Birds and Will complemented him the whole time. "You're cool..." Dipper smiled. While he was playing, he unconsciously stuck is tongue out in a sort of concentrating face. Will stared at him for a moment before starting to giggle. "You-'re c-cute..." Dipper hesitated. "I'm not..." Will didn't take any offense. "Yeah you are... You're a pretty person. Mommy says that I'm gonna find a pretty person and they're gonna love me and be mine forever... Are you my pretty person?" Dipper stared at him. "... Maybe." Will smiled. "I hope you are."

~Time skip~
(They're now 21)

Dipper stood by his sister as they stared into the coffin. Their father laid inside, looking peaceful, but they knew better. He got into a fight with a drunken friend and payed with his life. Dipper felt someone hug him from behind and turned to see Will giving him a sad look. "'M sorry, Dipper..." Dipper shook his head. "It's not like it's your fault. You don't need to be sorry." Will hugged him tighter. "You're sad..." Dipper sighed. "So? I'm always sad. This world's sad." Will whined. "Why're you s-s-so dark?" Dipper shook his head. "I don't know... I'm going home. I need something to drink." Will whined louder. "Noooo... You can't do that. It's bad." Dipper snorted. "I'm in the legal age range." Will whimpered. "I-I'm comin'... with you."

Dipper sat down at the wooden table. Will convinced him to just stick to wine. "This ain't helping, Will...," Dipper said, "Can't I have a beer or something?" He was obviously a bit drunk, he drank almost the whole bottle. Will shook his head. "N-No, you can die if you have too much. Did you drink the whole bottle?!," he screeched and took the glass in his hands away. Dipper groaned. "There's still some left...," he grumbled. Will dumped the rest of the wine into the sink. "That's your fault." "Come on, Will... Hey, I can think of a way to have some fun..." Will raised a brow. "What?" "Lets get married and yell, "Screw what God says, we're all goin' to hell anyway!'..." Will shook his head. "Let's jus' settle f'r sleep'n-'gether..." Dipper mumbled something under his breath. "Sure... I straddle in my sleep though..." Will led Dipper to bed, confused. "What's a straddle?" Dipper shrugged. He shoved Will down onto the bed. Will yelped and started crying. "Wh-Why...?" He hiccuped and felt the bed shift next to him as Dipper climbed in. A gentle hand ran through his hair. "'M sorry, Will... Tired," he mumbled. Throwing his legs around Will, he added, "This's a straddle," and fell asleep. Will blushed and held on to Dipper. "O-Oh, okay." When Dipper didn't reply, he said, "You're still the pretty person Mommy said was gonna love me. I know you are." "Yeah, love you too," Dipper replied, half-asleep, "You're gonna marry me tomorrow, though..." He leaned forward and kissed Will. Will hummed happily and snuggled up against Dipper's chest. Dipper held him tighter and nuzzled his hair.
