Will looked over to the door as Bill walked in. The blond froze in his tracks. "U-Umm... Hi, Dipper." Dipper didn't look up from his spot next to Will on the couch. "Hey." He continued cuddling with Will. Bill walked into the kitchen to get something to eat. Will turned back to the movie. (If you must know, they're watching Pitch Perfect) He nuzzled Dipper's neck. Dipper leaned over and kissed the top of Will's head. "Love you," he whispered. "Love you too," Will whispered back. He kissed Dipper's cheek and rested his head on his shoulder. They were able to get through about 3/4 of the movie before Dipper's phone rang.

   "Sorry, Will. I gotta go help Mabel choose which shade of purple her next sweater should be. Honestly, I don't know why she needs my help. Hopefully this isn't some sort of trick." Will chuckled and nodded. "You better hurry. She might make you into a big blob of glitter if you don't get there on time." Dipper laughed and exited the house. As soon as he drove away, Bill came back into the room. He sat down next to Will. "So... Does he seem 100% happy around you?," Bill asked. Will shook his head. "Sometimes he feels a wave of depression, but it's usually caused by how much he misses California and his parents." Bill nodded. "Okay. Um... Can I tell you something?" "Sure." "Do you promise not to tell Dipper?" "I promise." Bill slowly breathed in to prepare himself. "I... Dipper and I used to be... a thing, I guess. After he dumped me, I... I felt like I couldn't love anymore. I... I really wish I could get over him, but... I just can't." Will stared at him for a while. "Bill..." Bill slowly met his gaze. He saw Will's pity. 'Ugh. I knew I shouldn't have told him.' "Bill... Sometimes... Sometimes people just can't handle how... extreme... you are... That doesn't mean you should change! It just... You should just try a little harder, you know?" Bill's eyes flashed. "If someone really loved me, I shouldn't have to try! They should truly love me for who I am, not how I act! If they loved me, they wouldn't tell me to change or leave me broken hearted, knowing that I love them with my whole meatsack!" With that, he ran out the door, only to be found at the bottom of Gravity Falls's cliff. After the funeral, Will hadn't seen Dipper for 5 days. When he came back, bloody and bruised, he said that he was trying to make up for the pain he caused Bill. Will never let him out of his sight for the rest of his life. He held him close out of fear that he might be taken from him as well. His family all died. All he had left was Dipper. Nothing would ever take Dipper away. Even after Stan and Ford died together at the same time, holding hands. Even after Mabel died from getting hit by a car on a rainy night. Nothing.

   Dipper watched Will sleeping in his arms. He put his chin on his sleeping lover's head. "I promise, Will. I promise that as long as you aren't leaving me, I'm not leaving you." The next morning, he went to town. He came back and presented Will with a small bird. Will knew what he had meant. If he left, Will would still have the part of him, which was the small, brown bird, looking up at him with studying eyes. He smiled and kissed Dipper. "I promise I'll stay by your side until the end." It looked like God decided to spare them, as they were able to keep their promises.
