Dipper got dragged by Mabel to the new pet shop, her rambling about all of the mythical creatures that they sold. Dipper doubted it was actually real and said it was not worth it. Mabel rolled her eyes and tugged him inside. She squealed and jumped up and down. Dipper just couldn't believe his eyes. These creatures were the real deal. He looked around. Sirens, werewolves, hellhounds, you name it. The place was full of varieties. He heard something scurrying towards him and looked back to see a blur of blue fur whoosh past him. A ravenette chased after it with a collar and leash in hand. Dipper watched her grab the creature and clip the collar around its neck, fastening the thin leash to it as well. It looked up at him pleadingly as he walked towards them. "What is that?," he asked the woman. She turned and smiled at him. "It's a neko. This one's jumpy and tries to avoid people. There are others in the back of you would like to see them," she explained. Dipper glanced at the neko. It looked like it was in a living hell. Pleading eyes begged him to get it as far away from this place as possible. He almost laughed at this tactic. "Anything else about him?," he inquired. The woman looked surprised. "His fur's very soft but he doesn't like people touching him. He has some trust issues, often hiding from everyone. He likes blueberries and chocolate. It's pretty ironic, considering his blue fur." Dipper nodded. He flashed a smile at the neko before looking back at the ravenette. "It's a male?," he asked. She nodded her head. He crouched down to talk to the currently sitting creature. "You're a shy little thing, aren't cha? Yeah, I am too," he said with a smile. It smiled back. "Do you understand English?," he asked. The neko nodded his head and looked up at the woman watching their little exchange of words. He tilted his head and the woman smiled. She addressed Dipper and asked if he would like to take the neko home for tonight and see if they could get along. Dipper thought for a moment before saying, "Sure." "His name is Will," the woman added. Dipper stood up and turned to Will. "C'mon, let's go see what my sister's up to." Will beamed and followed him after handing his temporary owner his leash. Dipper found Mabel holding a puppy shooting lasers from its eyes. She turned to him and waved excitedly. "I see you found something too bro-bro!" Dipper shook his head. "I'm only testing how our relationship will go. If I like his company I'll come back and pay for him tomorrow." Mabel nodded and jumped up and down. "Let's get going then!," she squealed.
At his house, Dipper brought Will into the kitchen. "Are you hungry?," he asked. Will nodded and smiled up at him. Dipper grabbed a dish and looked around, finding some canned tuna Mabel bought last week. He took a can out and opened it, using a fork to scrape the contents onto the dish. Will watched hungrily as he put the fork in the mush and handed him the dish. "I don't know if you use a fork or anything so... Yeah," he shrugged. Will purred lightly as he ate the tuna. Dipper got out a cup and poured some milk into it. He waited for Will to finish before handing him the cup. Will smiled his thanks and drank the cold liquid. Dipper unhooked the leash from Will's collar and put it in a drawer. Will placed the cup on the counter and tugged on Dipper. Dipper followed the neko into the living room. He sat down on the couch and Will joined him. His blue tail curled out of the way so he could lay down without crushing it. He set his head on Dipper's lap and purred when he felt a hand massaging his back. Dipper chuckled quietly at the noise. Will's ears flicked up and he ceased the purring. Dipper scratched his ears. "You don't need to stop. I'm not making fun of you." Will huffed before letting himself purr again.
Will watched Dipper get ready to head to bed. He followed him into the bedroom. Once Dipper got under the covers, he pat a spot on the bed where Will could settle. Will pulled himself into the bed and curled up next to Dipper. Dipper turned off the lamp on the nightstand and closed his eyes. "G'night Will," he muttered before falling asleep completely. "Goodnight Dipper. Sleep well."
It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, there you go. Hope you enjoyed!
