Dipper smiled at his lucky sister. She finally found a mate. He skirted around the crowds of people, trying to find his way to the healer's den. He was trying to decide whether or not he wanted to be a healer or not. He would never find a mate— he knew that. No one would ever even think the smallest thought about him in that way. He hoped to question this tribe's healer about his/her opinion on their job.

Once inside the healer's den, the smell of herbs surrounded him. He stayed near the entrance, confidence slightly wavering. The healer turned his head to look at him. "... You're not joining in the festivities? The newlyweds—" "I just don't like people. Besides, that's my sister, and it's kinda hard to accept the fact that nobody would ever feel the way about me the way they feel about each other." The healer stared at him for a moment. "What's your name, Omega?" Dipper flinched. "D-Dipper Pines," he said quietly. The healer turned back to his concoction of herbs. "Well, I don't know what you expect to find in here, young Pines, but feel free to lay down in one of the cots." Dipper did just that. "... So, what's your name?," he asked. "William. You have no need for my last name." Dipper felt uncomfortable for a moment. "Can I just call you Will?" The healer shrugged. "If it pleases you. I tend not to be called by an actual name anymore, so what's the point in using the full one?" Dipper stared at the ceiling. "Why aren't you called your name?" Will sighed. "I have no clue. I'm just 'Healer' to the rest of them." Dipper turned onto his side, facing Will. "So... Why did you become a healer?" "My sexual preference. I'm.. 'Gay', as you call it. Nobody here will accept such a thing. I could have been leader, but I knew I'd be in high risk if I did, so I stepped down and let my younger brother take the spot. I regret this decision, even though it was for the best. This clan has turned cruel under the leadership of my cold-hearted brother. I should've chased him out when he murdered one of the people." Dipper stared at the ground for a moment. "What's it like being a healer?" Will shook his head. "It's worse than being an omega. At least, here it is. My brother has no respect for his elder sibling, and definitely has no respect for the clan healer. He's turned the people against me with false accusations and revealing my love for my own gender." Dipper stayed silent for a moment. His clan was better than this one for sure, but he still didn't know whether they'd accept him as healer if he trained to do it. "... To be honest... I have the same preference...," Dipper said quietly. Will glanced at him for a moment. "How old are you?" "Like... 18... Why?" Will mumbled something under his breath. "We don't have much of an age difference then, do we? I thought you were at least 3 years younger than your real age. At the most, 5. I'm 21 years of age, if you're wondering." Dipper heard his name get called by his sister. Will put down what he was working on and walked over to him, picking him up bridal style. He took him out of the den and towards his sister, with Dipper being unaware about how... bad?... the scene looked. Mabel took one look at them and grinned. "Is that your mate?" Dipper sputtered, realizing what looked so wrong. Will answered for him. "Ah— No, we are not mates. Why?" Mabel giggled. "I SHIP IT!!!," she screamed and dove at her husband. Dipper grumbled and attempted to get back on the ground. "Please let me go, Will." Will ignored him, acting as though he couldn't hear him, looking off into the crowd. Dipper poked his face, and the albino looked back at him. "Yes?," he asked, sounding suspicious. "Put me—!" "Brother! Bro-Bro, Broseph, Sir Dipping-Sauce, Dippin' Dots! Dip-Dop! Flip-A-Dip-Dip!" Dipper closed his eyes against his sister's bombardment and leaned into his only source of comfort and safety. Mabel laughed and took pictures of him. "Dip, guess what?!" Dipper glared at her, caution in his eyes. "... What?..." "I SHIP IT!!!," she screamed again, pulling Dipper out of Will's arms and into a hug. "W-Wha—?," he asked, completely confused. Will snorted and crossed his arms, making his jealousy a bit too obvious. This only gave Mabel more cards to place on the table. "Aw~ Dip-Dop, your mate's jealous! He wants to hold you and kiss you and—" "He's not—" "WILLIAM CIPHER!" Will looked scared shitless and ran back to his den. Mabel giggled, while Dipper was more focused on what was going on. A blond, Dipper recognized him as the leader, ran after Will and had him pinned down in a matter of seconds. They talked closely for a minute, Will looking tense and Bill looking like the cat that ate the canary. Soon, Will was pulled back up and pushed back in Dipper and Mabel's direction. He quickly made his way over and picked Dipper up again. Mabel grinned and waved enthusiastically as Dipper was carried off in the direction of Bill's little hut. He felt a strange emotion make the tips of his ears red as Will nuzzled his face along the way.
