Shaye's POV

Me and Mani hanging out getting some good old southern food since we haven't in the past few weeks. We both been busy, but I think she got a boyfriend or maybe Chris cause she's been blowing me off & that nigga been around more than usual  

"Damn, Mani I swear we live in the same house & don't even kick it no more. What's up with that," I asked

"I don't know, we've both been real busy lately trying to finish these last 2 weeks of school. Plus you're always at Mike's house leaving me by myself," Mani replied

"No, you be leaving me. Mani do you got a boyfriend you ain't telling me about. I be hearing you on the phone & smelling cologne on you sometimes, when we do see each other," I said

"Girl no I don't have a boyfriend. Me & Chris been kicking it. I told you that's who I've been talking to & you told me to watch out for him. He invited me over & cooked dinner for me then we watched a movie," she blushed like she was leaving out other details

"Imani Monae Brown you better not have fucked Chris. I swear cause I know you're leaving out some details with that blushing & shit," I yelled at her

"Hell no, I didn't fuck him. I'm not that type of girl, & don't be saying my whole name like that. But he did kiss me & it was nice. I might have a strong liking of him cause he's so sweet, funny & sexy as hell & them lips girl. I would suck them off his face," she said

"I wanted you to find a man. I was thinking about Chris, but damn not this fast. Ya'll just started hanging out and he's already got you blushing & shit & thinking bout fucking him. What he do to you," I questioned

"I don't think about fucking him. We're not even dating. We're just friends," she said looking at her phone smiling

"All lovers start out as just friends. I see you smiling at yo phone, it must be a text he sent you," I said

"Stop being nosy & you & Mike weren't friends before ya'll dated. I heard the stories, you was the popular chick & he was the popular dude so ya'll was forced to be together. Now look at ya'll still together having a baby. So it must be love," she said

"It must be, but you know for a fact everything with me & Mike ain't been peaches & crème. Hell it still ain't but that's my man & if any bitch, ho or slut try to come between us they can get the hands. Asked his baby mama what it is," I said

"Oh girl trust me I've seen what you did to her the last time. But at least you & Mike can be adult enough to work things out. I don't see how you take half of his shit cause I would have been chunked up the deuces on his ass," Mani said

"Well I'm not you & yea he's did some dirty shit, but if I forgave him. There is nothing no one else should be concerned about or have an opinion," I said with an attitude because I'm tired of people's opinions on my life

"Aye I love you, but don't be getting no attitude cause I don't care what's going on with ya'll. That's ya'll relationship like you said, but when he pisses you off or do something else dumb don't come to me crying if you don't want my opinion simple as that," she said rolling her eyes

"You don't have to be rolling yo eyes acting all different cause you finally got a man," I said, rolling my eyes back at her

"I'm not acting different. I don't got no man cause I'm not dating Chris. I do find it very rude for you to come at me sideways on something that has nothing to do with me. But as your bestfriend I'm going to let it slide cause I'm not gone let petty shit mess up a friendship. Like I said if you don't want my opinion don't come to me with yo problems no more simple as that point blank period" Mani said
