Imani's baby shower time

Imani's POV

Today was my baby shower & I'm running late. Of course it was an outside event & it was hot here in Atlanta too 

"Imani come on damn. How you gone be late to yo own baby shower," Chris said rushing me

"Shut up cause it can't start until we get there. Now come buckle my shoe," I said slipping my feet in my brown wedged cause I had on a cute yellow maternity maxi dress & gold accessories & my hair was in big curls

"No you are not even bout to wear them. Find some more cause you're not bout to be complaining all day your feet hurt," he said getting on my nerves

"I'm not, I'm gone bring my other brown sandals over there to change when my feet start hurting," I told him slipping my feet in the shoe

"No Imani I'm not playing with you, put these on now & come on," he said taking my wedges & putting the brown gladiator sandals on my feet 

"I really don't like you, but I don't even feel like arguing with you right now," I said as he buckled my the sandals on feet 

"Its no need for an argument cause you weren't putting on heels like I said in the first place. Now come on," he said getting up dusting his pants off cause he had on a yellow v-neck t-shirt & some khaki shorts

"Whatever," I said getting up

We left & headed to where the baby shower was happening 

"Bout time ya'll got here damn" Shaye said as we walked 

"Its all her fault. She gotta be so damn difficult all the time, but I gotta run somewhere I'll be right back a little later," Chris said

"Where you going. You know I want you here," I said looking at him

"I'm coming right back, plus its nothing but women in there right now anyways," he said

"Not it's not it's some guys here. Mike should be on his way cause I left him to get the kids ready," Shaye said

"Hurry up back & I'm not playing," I told him

"Ok gosh woman," he said pecking my lips

We went out to where the party was. Shaye had it looking so nice. Everything was yellow, white & pink like I wanted it. She had a few of the pictures me & Chris took hanging around & she put them on the center pieces. I was surprised to see my mommy, sister, niece & cousin cause I didn't know they were in town

"Hi auntie," Amari ran over to me hugging me

"Hey pooh, I didn't know ya'll were here," I said kissing her cheek

"Look at you OMG this is the first time I have seen you in person in a long time. You look so pretty pregnant," Isis said rubbing my stomach

"I know I miss ya'll. Hi mommy & sister," I said to them & hugging them

"Girl I just saw you not too long ago. And I'll be back in a few weeks when you have this baby," my mama rubbing my stomach

"I'm coming too but I can only stay 3 days so she better come on time," Nikki said

"Auntie can I come stay with you when I get out of school next month," Amari asked

"You can come back with grandma next month, when I have the baby ok," I said to her & she was excited cause I was gone let my her come out for the summer anyways before I found out I was going to have a new baby
