Chris' POV

I'm so happy to be home & for everybody to meet Imani. I know she's gonna love the NOLA cause everybody that visit does. But I'm gone take her around to see some stuff today since my sister's party isn't til tomorrow. It was morning time so right now we were eating breakfast cause my mama threw down. I know she did all this cause I'm here cause & I'm her first born/favorite, other than my dad. He's only her favorite cause he's hitting that so why wouldn't he be her favorite lol

"So you are the infamous Imani, Chris is always talking bout or giving all his time too," my mama said smiling sipping her coffee

"Ma don't start that. You're trying to make me seem like I'm obsessed with her. I mean she's fine & all but she ain't all that," I said looking Imani up & down but ya'll know I was just playing. She's the totally package & we gone get married one day. Just watch.

"Excuse me, I think I feel offended," Imani said looking at me with a serious look on her face

"You know I'm just playing with you boo. You're all that plus more," I said kissing her cheek

"So cute, but Imani tell us about yourself," ma mama said coming with the 21 question interrogation

"We'll I'm 21 will be 22 in July. I'm originally from Cleveland, OH but I came to Atlanta for college. I just graduated from Clark Atlanta, sum cum laude with a degree in business and minor in women's studies. I recently started working at Wells Fargo as a personal banker," Imani said telling my mom a little about herself 

"Oh Chris I like her. I think she has the potential to be my daughter-in-law or the mother of my grandkids from you," mom said

"Chill ma. Gosh you have no filter today," I said then my dad & my lil sister walked in. Pops IS doing good but he lost a lot of weight from that chemo and his other meds over time since his diagnosis 

"What up son. Morning love. Who is this beauty we have here visiting us," pops asked pulling a sit out at the kitchen table 

"Is that the Imani girl ma was telling me about," my sister asked sitting at the table also 

"Yes it is. This is Chris' new girlfriend and hopefully our potential daughter in law Charles," my mama said smirking 

"Sandra, here you go trying to plan their future out already gosh. Can they form a relationship first women," pops said

"Thank you pops, but I mean maybe one day mom. Right now we are just kicking it," I said truthfully

"Right, cause I'm not ready for marriage or kids just yet. I'm still too young, even though I can tell Chris will be a great husband & father one day," Imani said making me blush

"Ugh man she got you looking like a tomato with yo ugly butt," my sister said laughing

"Shut up that's why you're not getting yo gift from me tomorrow. It was a good one too," I teased looking at my dad cause we went half on her gift. Lets just say it cost a pretty penny

"No, ok I'm sorry big brother. You are very handsome, & you said next time you came you would take me shopping " she begged hugging my waist. Ya'll already know that's my baby so I fail for it. She can get whatever she wants outta big brother

"Ok, boo we can go shopping later cause Imani wanna see the city. I know she wanna go to mall too," I said looking at Imani for confirmation & I got it

"Son, why do we spoil these girls so much making us go broke," pops said drinking his coffee my mom made him

"Cause ya'll love us & would rather see us happy. If not it won't be pretty," moms said
