Shaye's POV

Imani finally brought her ass back to work after what seemed like forever

"Look who decided to bring their ass to work today. I'm surprised you still got a job," I said walking in her office

"I had a valid excuse to not be here. You try carrying this belly walking around with swollen feet & back hurting," she said sitting in her seat

"Um did you forget I have a 9 month old baby & went through everything you are. Also, went to school full time the whole 9 months," I reminded her

"Why you ain't worn me cause I would have never gotten pregnant if I knew this is what it was gone be like," she said of course snacking on some food

"I did tell you. As much as I complained you should have known. Girl its worth it when you see your little baby girl. Aren't you excited," I asked to her

"Yea, but Chris wanted it to be a boy. He was talking bout the doctor must have looked at something wrong when he's the first one that seen nothing between the legs," she said

"Girl he's saying that now, but when you have that baby that's gone be his world. Ya'll always talking bout how my baby is spoiled. Ya'll baby gone be worse cause Chris soft for real," I said laughing

"Don't talk about my boo. He's not soft. But where that bitch Melanie at I got some words for her ass," Imani said

"Imani don't start nothing with yo pregnant ass. I can't lose my job so I can't jump in," I said

"No I just want to tell her to stay out my business. Bitch you don't know me or my man. That girl was one of the mall workers helping him when she seen him," she said

"I figured that, but I just wanted you to know," I said

"Chris getting mad saying that people jealous & mad cause we got a good relationship unlike some people," she said & I kinda took offense cause I know she was talking bout me & Mike

"Are you throwing shade at me & Mike cause there is nothing to be jealous of. People go through shit you gotta learn through it," I said

"No I am not throwing shade cause I can care less about anybody else's relationship, but my own. I don't need you or nobody else telling me stuff. Let me find out for myself. When I confront him he gets mad cause it don't be true 9 times outta 10 its something you've told me," she said

"Well I didn't say it was true. You don't have to get all turnt up for no reason," I said

"I'm not turnt up so you don't gotta be getting offensive thinking I'm throwing shade. Like I said I don't care about nobody's relationship but my own," she said drinking some water

"Alright whatever. I got work to do," I said walking out cause she's been pissing me off lately. I'm a just believe its cause her hormones are out of whack. That's why I ain't went off on her yet. Me & Imani ain't never threw hands, but we have argued & stopped talking to each other for a while. During that time I stayed at Mike's house for like 2 weeks cause I ain't want to be around her

I went to my desk & started doing my work for a while until Imani came over to my desk with some lunch. I guess she ordered cause she did go out anywhere 

"Here I got you some Chinese food for lunch, since you're mad at me for no reason," she said sitting a bag on my desk

"I ain't mad at you. You've just been throwing a lot of shade every time something go wrong with you & Chris, but thanks," I said

"I wasn't throwing shade, but you gotta understand every time something goes wrong its because of something you tell me. Chris thinks its because you're jealous that ya'll relationship is not like ours," she said
