Shaye's POV
It is the day of graduation & Lord knows I have been waiting for this day since the start of college. Yea its been hard but I made it with this big ass belly & all. I just hope MaKaiah decides to stay in at least until this day is over cause I'm due in 2 days so I'm supposed to be on bed rest but I'm walking to get my shit.
"Imani, come here," I whined
"Shaye why are you whining already. Its only 8 in the fucking morning. What is wrong," she came in & asked
"I can't zip my gown up. Its too small now. I think I gained more weight since the last time I tried it on," I said struggling to get it up
"I mean you are due in like 2 days so of course you have gained weight," Mani said
"So you're calling me fat. Forget it I'm not going to graduation anymore," I said taking the gown off
"Yes the hell you are, so get your ass up now & put that shit on whether it zips or not. They will understand. Might of fact trade me cause mine was a little too big," Mani said taking hers off
"No I don't wanna go, everybody is gonna look at me & talk about me being pregnant," I said tearing up
"You're right! They are going to say look at that pregnant girl, that still went to college & graduated with honors all while pregnant. Hell you're walking the stage on damn near her due date," Mani said
"I love you Mani, you are truly the best friend in the whole wide world. I swear I'm gone miss living with you & nagging you," I said crying
"Shaye stop before you make me mess up my makeup. It took me an hour to do this. I'm sure you're still gone nag me & come over all the time. You're only moving 10 minutes away with Mike," she said
"I know, but still I'm gone miss our late night girl talks & me waking you up in the morning for no reason just to get on your nerves," I said
"That's what the phone is for. You already said if Mike pisses you off, you & MaKaiah will be here in a heartbeat," she said
"Sure will. Matter of fact, you might as well put a crib in my old room for when we spend the night. I'm leave some of our clothes in the closet, & I'm keeping my key so don't change the locked or I will break in" I said
"Shaye you are a trip, but you know you are welcomed anytime after you move out. Now come on our family is waiting at your moms house so we can take pics & get this show on the road," Mani said
"Ok, I'm coming let me go unwrap my hair & fix my makeup from being a crybaby. Better yet I'm bout to just take it off cause I know I'm bout to be crying," I said going into the bathroom
We finish getting ready then met everyone at my parent's house. We went to the Panther Stadium all before 9am. Why the hell this graduation so damn early, don't nobody got time of this
Imani's POV
Graduations are so damn boring. I'm sitting on my phone texting Shaye cause she is a few rows behind me. I'm just waiting for them to call our names so I can bounce

"Graduating Cum Luade Allen Baker, Hannah Baxter...Kevin Brown, graduating Summa Cum Luade Imani Brown
I went up there with my head held high smiling while everyone I knew cheered for me
"That's my baby, you did it," my mama yelled
