Mike's POV

Its been 2 weeks since the incident at the club. Shaye has been staying at my house cause I don't want her home alone with my daughter knowing that nigga posted bail. No we're not back together yet & we don't talk about what happened that night cause it was in the heat of the moment. But damn was it good. I really needed that cause its been since Kai was born that I had any other than doing it myself. I was going to talk to Mr. Edwards cause I've been dodging him but I need to talk to him

"Michael, what's up son," Mr. Edwards said to me we were out to eat

"Nothing much, just chilling & taking care of my kids," I said

"So what did you need to speak to me about cause you've been dodging me since, you & Shaye broke up. We are close. You're like my other son," he said & it was the truth. I really looked up to Mr. Edwards. When I needed a man to talk to that's who I go to

"I know & I am truly sorry forever thing. I know I fucked up, but I'm working on it Mr. Edwards I am. But its hard" I said

"I know it is, but you made your bed so now you have to lay in it. Just like I tell Ray, don't be out here doing shit you can't own up to," he told me

I know, I am. That girl is not even pregnant she lost the baby. I still don't believe it was mine to begin with," I said sipping my beer. I need something stronger for real

"I'm sorry to hear that, but that doesn't change the fact that you cheated & could have possibly been the father of that child. Now here I am picking up your slack taking care of 2 households cause you fucked up," he said sipping his beer

"I told Shaye I was sorry & wanted to work things out. She pushed me away & told me to leave her alone, so I did. But now my feelings are back & even stronger now that she's been staying at my house for the past 2 weeks," I said

"So ya'll back shacking up now, playing house. I swear Shaye's never gone learn. For you to just fuck up again," he said shaking his head

"No we are not shacking up. I'm not gone fuck up again. But she's been staying with me because something happened 2 weeks ago," I said

"Mike, what did you do cause you know you're already on my shit list right now," he told me looking serious & I was kinda on edge

"I ain't doing nothing this time I swear. I actually helped her cause that's how much I love her. I risked my life & freedom so that she would be safe," I told him

"What happened & why am I just now finding this out," he asked

"I know she's scared to tell you. I know she's gone be mad that I told you. But I think you need to know cause I want you to help me resolve this," I said

"What happen Mike," he asked

I told him everything from what she had been telling me up until the night of the party

"What the fuck. Where is this muthafucka at," Mr. Edwards said getting rowdy

"He posted bail, that's why I've been making her stay with me cause she got my daughter. I swear if I see that nigga, I'm killing him on spot," I said seriously

"You ain't gotta do that because I am. What's his name cause you know I'm gone find him today & he's gone be dead," he said pissed cause his leg was shaking now
