"Jeffrey, did you do your homework?" my tutor asked. I pouted and crossed my arms.

"No..." I muttered. The brunette sighed and removed her cat eye glasses and rubbed the bridge of her nose. My tutor sighed heavily while looking at me with what seemed to be 50 shades of dark circles under her eyes.

"Jeffrey, if you keep this up, I don't think I will be able to tutor you anymore." she said in her most persuading voice. my mouth twitched into a frown.

"Oh...." but in my head, I was really like, I don't care! Its not like I wanted a tutor anyways!

"What I'm trying to say is, Jeffrey, if you don't keep up with your work, I'm going to have to stop tutoring you." she said. I rolled my eyes slightly, hoping she wouldn't notice, but with her hawk-like sight, she could notice anything from a mile away.

"Okay.." I groaned. My tutor smiled and stood up and walked away, shutting the door to my room on the way. I grumbled and turned to my window, wondering if Winter was home. I stared at her window with a small smile on my face. I faintly remember Joy telling me that I was infatuated with her. If I knew what that word meant, I probably would've agreed.

I squinted my eyes a the window because of sudden movement. I leaned in and stared at the figure. It was dark--like a shadow, and had long black hair flowing from her back. I stood up abruptly. Was that the killer? Was the killer a girl? Not to mention in Winter's house?!

I jumped out the window--barefoot-- and onto the Jenson's lawn. I ran up to the door and started banging on it. I knew that Winter's parents didn't like me as much, but this wasn't the time for that. The killer was in Winter's house. There was nothing else on my mind.

"Winter! Please open the door! Winter!" I yelled as I banged the door. I kept on banging until I heard the doorknob jumble. I stepped back and painted as the door opened.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Winter screamed. She looked up at me and her glare disappeared. "Jeff....rey?" she said slowly. "What are you doing here?" she asked. My panting didn't slow down, but sped up. Just seeing her... alive and well made me feel so relieved. My heart was beating faster and my face was flushed in color. She was so pretty when she was alive, haha...

"I-I just... I was just... I thought..." I suffered. Winter raised an eyebrow skeptically. I sighed and wrapped my arms around her small structure.

"H-Hey! Jeffrey?!" Winter stammered. I buried my nose into her hair and squeezed her tightly.

"Winter? Who's over there?" someone asked in the back of Winter's house.

"U-Uhm, it's my friend!" Winter yelled back. Suddenly, two ladies appeared from the loving room and caught us hugging. They froze and their mouths formed O's. They slowly stepped back and hid in the shadows. I pulled away from Winter and grasped her shoulders. I looked her in her emerald eyes which stared back at me in embarrassment.

"Winter, can I ask you a question?" I asked. Her eyes widened in surprise.

"Um, yeah, sure..."

"What does infatuate mean?"

Winter's face went tomato red.

"W-Well, infatuate means to... obsess? I guess that's what it means. Ahaha..." Winter laughed nervously. I managed a smile.

"Then Winter Jenson, I think I'm infatuated with you."
