····The Queen····
Damian and I sat in lunch, and he had bruises all over him. I don't know how he got them, but they obviously didn't look good. He didn't speak much either. Not after he got not that fight. It was like he was a different person, and it scared me. He just ate his food with a stern and angry face. But that wasn't all. He obviously looked distressed. I couldn't see him like this.
"Are you going to wait all week to tell me what you want to say, or are you just going to leave me hanging?" I asked. Damian looked up with wide eyes.
"I--"
"Don't bullshit me, Damian. What the fuck happened?" I snapped. Damian bit his lip and looked around. As if he were looking for something. He set down his lunch and sighed.
".... I think I know who the murderer is." he said. I gasped.
"What? How long have you known?"
"About a week."
I wanted to punch the moron, but because he had such a sad face on him, I couldn't help but feel bad for the poor guy. I placed my hand over his and squeezed it. "Okay... spill it."
"You're not going to like it."
"Well, I don't like anything but that isn't stopping me from finding out who the hell killed Audrey." I said. Damian exhaled sharply and looked around. His hand was getting moister and more sweaty by the second. I haven't seen him this nervous since he asked me out to homecoming. He took a deep breath and ran his fingers through his hair.
".... it may or may not be Alex."
I was taken back, but at the same time, I wasn't that surprised. He was uber suspicious and never did like Audrey.
"What do you mean, 'may or may not be'? Are you not sure?" I asked. Damian was still weary of his surroundings even though Jason was sitting like, right behind us. I didn't know why he wasn't sitting with us, but that wasn't ant of my business.
"I heard him discussing things with Sylvester and it was about the murder..." he bit his lip. There was something else he wanted to say, but wasn't saying it. He was trembling in fear. My boyfriend, the almighty captain of the football team was scared? What the hell did happen?
"Did he kill her?" I growled. Damian shrugged.
"I dunno... In any case, I think we should tell Charlie, you know? Cause she can you know, do her research and all..." Damian stammered. All of a sudden, Jason walked over with a hood over his head. I frowned. He looked as depressed as ever.
"Unfortunately, Charlie won't be participating in the case anymore..." his voice broke. Damian looked up in despair.
"Wha..." he swallowed. Damian shook his head and buried his head into his arms. "Shit.... Fucking shit...."
"I'm sorry," Jason said and walked away. I squeeze Damian hand. He whimpered softly which brought me to tears.
"Stop crying...." my voice cracked when it trembled. Daman shook his head. "Why're are you crying?" I asked. He looked up and squinted his red eyes.
"Because if we don't stop him, he'll kill all of us. He'll kill you, Charlie, Jason, Winter, Jeffrey... and me...." he said. I was still in shock. That was all I needed to make my rage meter peak. His probably first victim of murder was probably Audrey, and now he was going after us? What the fuck is up this little bitch's butt?
"Don't worry, I'll--" I said when someone put their hand over Damian's neck. I felt his hands tends up and moisten. I looked up and saw Alex's fake smile gleaning down at us.
"Do you guys want some Wendy's?" he asked and held up a Wendy's to-go bag with a chocolate shake. Damian shook his head. He was too afraid to answer.
"No, we're good." I answered for him. Alex looked away from Damian and shot me a look of complete hatred in a split second. I felt electricity shoot through my body. Why did he suddenly seem so... threatening? Why did I not notice before? This man was so scary, I couldn't look away. Like a mouse in front of a fucking snake.
"S'that so?" he said and took a sip of his chocolate shake. He kept his arm around Damian and his eyes on me. Those blank... black eyes--looking as if he were planning a murder and where to slice my neck. I gulped and was about to grab Damian and go when Alex leaned over and whispered something into his ear. I waited and tried to make out what he was staying, but he barely moved his mouth. Damian paled and that was my cue to grab him and go.
Ohohohoho~~! I wonder what he said!! I wonder--don't you wonder? Don't you wonder what Jason and Charlie were fighting about ? I sure do.... wait, what?
