"I'm done with this" you said storming out of the training room. "Of course you are, because that what you do best, quit" Alec yelled as you walked out. You two had gotten in a bad argument. All the built up stress was taking a toll on both of you, and all that pent up emotion burst out of you both. You quickly walked up to the bedroom you and Alec shared, not wasting any time dwelling in the hallways. You didn't want to be seen. You were done with Alec treating you how he had just treated you. You hated it, and you were going to get out of the institute for a while. You grabbed a decent sized bag and threw all your necessities in it, making sure not to forget anything you needed as you went. You quickly stormed out of the institute. Everything you passed was a blur, and you were glad. Before you knew it you were walking down the road, your bag slung across one shoulder and your hair pulled to sit on the other. It was dark out, you couldn't see much. You didn't have a plan. You didn't want to go back to the institute. You didn't know. Before you knew it you found yourself a ways from the institute. You were kind of zoned out as you walked. So caught up in your thoughts. Suddenly, you hear a familiar voice from behind you. "What's a girl like you doing out here alone?" You heard the voice say cockily. You didn't even have to look to know who it was. "Raphael" you said turning around smirking. "Seriously though angel, what are you doing out here? You should be at the institute where it's safe." He said slightly concerned. You and Raphael had been friends for a while now, he was like an annoying brother to you. He would support you when you really needed it, but if you didn't, he'd be right there to pick on you and cause trouble. "I got in a fight with Alec, and I really don't want to be at the institute right now" you said glancing down. Your thoughts returned to your fight. The sadness and anger you felt must've been showing, because Raphael instantly snapped you out of your thoughts. "Hey, it's okay. I'm here to help" he said with a caring look in his eyes. "Do you know where you're going to stay?" He asked. You shook your head telling him no. "Then why don't I sneak you back to Dumort, you can spend a night or two there, but in the morning I'm taking you back to the institute." He proposed. "Thank You" you said following the vampire back to the hotel. Once you made it there, you followed Raphael in through some back door. "I'd invite you to sleep in my room, but if your moody boyfriend found out he'd surely try to kill me" he said. "That's a given" you said rolling your eyes. He led you to an empty room next to his, giving you a key to lock yourself in. "You know it's a good thing I ran into you on the street stupid nephilim." Raphael said. "Oh shut up bloodsucker" you said laughing. He laughed back. "Help yourself to anything in the room, I'm right next door, get me if you need me" he said walking towards the door. "Thank You so much" you said as he shut the door. The next two days were very uneventful. You sat there reading whatever books were on the shelves, playing games on your phone, occasionally letting Raph come in and talk. You ignored any text messages you got, not even bothering to read them. You were listening you music and reading a book, when you suddenly heard a loud bang, and saw your door fly open. Suddenly Alec walked in, holding Raphael with a seraph blade to his neck. Izzy, Jace, and Clary followed behind him. "I told you she was in here" you heard Raph say. "Alec, what the hell are you doing here?" You yelled, ripping your headphones from your ears and throwing the book across the bed before quickly getting up. "Y/N, thank god you're okay" he said before letting the vampire go and running towards you. He quickly wrapped you in his embrace, holding you tightly and close to him. You didn't really know what you should do, so you just slowly began to hug him back, and slowly began to find comfort and warmth in his arms. You let yourself sink into him. You really had missed him these past few days. "I'm sorry, I truly am, and I shouldn't have spoken to you like that. Hell nothing I said was even true." He gently whispered into your ear. "I forgive you" you whispered back lovingly. If he hadn't been holding you the way he was you probably wouldn't have been so forgiving, but there's something about being in Alec's arms and his soft voice that would just, soothe you. "Let's go home, please?" He said finally pulling away and looking at you. "Okay" you agreed with a warm smile. After gathering all your items you thanked Raphael and left. You all made it safely back to the institute, and after chatting with the girls for a couple minutes Alec pulled you away and into your bedroom. "I was so worried about you when I saw you were gone." He said quietly. "I ran around the entire institute like a maniac trying to find you. When I couldn't find you I went straight to trying to track you down." "I'm sorry Alec" you said quietly. "I love you" he said pulling you into a tight hug. You quickly hugged him back. "I love you so much" you said. "Cuddle?" You said looking up at him. He nodded yes and you both got into bed. He wrapped himself around you like his body was a case made to protect you from being hurt, to shield you from the world. You snuggled into him and just enjoyed it. Eventually you two did separate a bit, but he would still hold your hand, giving it a squeeze every so often, then waiting for you to squeeze back, like he was making sure you were still there and okay. You both eventually drifted off into this loving, comfortable sleep, knowing you were there for each other.
