NO MATTER WHAT

(Y/N) is a human and she has been kidnapped by vampires and Alec goes crazy because he loves her and (Y/N) becomes a vampire and she is afraid Alec won't love her anymore but he doesn't care if she is a vampire or not.

"Where's (Y/N)?" Alec asked his sister.
"She's in the car." Isabelle said, admiring her seraph blade.
"No, she's not."
"What do you mean she's not? I told her to wait in the-" Isabelle paused. "Oh no." She looked around, frowning.
"What?" Alec started to panic.
"This bastard followed us here."
"What are you talking about, Izzy? Where the hell is (Y/N)?" Alec asked angrily.
"I'm talking about Raphael! Ever since he saw (Y/N) hang out with Clary and I the other day, she told me he has been following her all week." Isabelle felt guilty. "I should've known."
"How come I don't know about any of this?" Alec was getting angrier by the minute.
"(Y/N) told me she had it under control. She asked me not to tell you because she didn't want you to worry."
"Damn it, Izzy! (Y/N) is a mundane! You should've told me!" Alec shouted.
Isabelle didn't look for an excuse, she knew this time she had made a mistake.
"So you're saying that (Y/N) was kidnapped by vampires? Is that what you're saying?" Alec's anger faded away only to be replaced with panic.
Isabelle looked down. She failed her friend, she knew she should've done more to make sure (Y/N) was safe.
Alec walked away from his sister. He was determined to get (Y/N) back before she got hurt. The idea of (Y/N) getting hurt was unbearable for Alec, he cared about her too much.
"Alec, wait! Where are you going?" Isabelle tried to catch up to her brother.
"Where do you think I'm going? I'm going to the Hotel Dumort to bring (Y/N) back to the Institute unharmed."
"I'm going with you." Isabelle declared.
"No. You've done enough." Alec's voice was cold and full of blame.
Alec loved his sister but right now he was blaming her for putting (Y/N) in danger. Once again, Isabelle didn't argue with her brother and let him walk away. She wanted to remind him to be careful, but she knew that when (Y/N) was involved, being careful was the last thing Alec could think about. Alec could give up his life for (Y/N), that was how much he loved her.

Alec never thought he could fall for a mundane, he had never been a fan of mundanes in general. But something was different about (Y/N). First, (Y/N) had the sight which meant she could see the shadow world and it really surprised Alec the first time he met her because she wasn't supposed to see him. But (Y/N) was also kind, funny, selfless, strong and beautiful. Alec and (Y/N) grew closer everyday and developed feelings for each other very quickly. (Y/N) spent most of her time at the Institute -even if Maryse wasn't too happy to have a mundane walking around the Institute, and became friends with everyone after a day.

Alec sneeked into the Hotel Dumort, his bow and arrows in his hands. He never felt so stressed during a mission before, killing demons was easy for him now. But this wasn't a mission, and it wasn't about killing demons, it was about saving (Y/N).
As Alec was quietly walking through the hallways of the vampires's den, a shadow stopped him in his tracks. It was Raphael, he was standing in front of Alec. Alec tightened his grip around his weapon.
"Hi there shadowhunter. Did you get lost on your way home?" The vampire said, smiling and showing his sharp front teeth.
"Where is she?" Alec asked as he clutched his jaw.
"Who is 'she'?" Raphael asked, pretending he didn't know who Alec was talking about. Alec quickly put his bow away and gripped Raphael by the collar.
"Don't act like you don't know who I'm talking about, bloodsucker. Tell me where she is and I'll be walking out of this place right away." Alec said with a very threatening voice.
"Go home, shadowhunter. There is nothing here that belongs to you."
"I'm gonna ask you one more time. Where is (Y/N)?" Alec pointed his arrow to Raphael's eye. He knew an arrow wouldn't kill a vampire, but it would hurt him for a while.
"Fine. Fine. I'll give her back to you." Raphael rolled his eyes. "I had my fun with her anyway."
"What's that suppose to mean?" Alec was about to explode. He couldn't think about the idea of Raphael leaning his hands on (Y/N).
"Oh nothing. I'm just saying, shadowhunter, I will be seeing your lady very soon." Raphael smirked.
Alec was about to pin Raphael to the floor and beat his face until his own hands hurt, but then, (Y/N) came into view. Another vampire was holding her arms behing her back while she was struggling to get loose.
"(Y/N)!" Alec shouted as he put his weapon away.
The vampire let go of (Y/N) and she ran into Alec's arms. Alec hugged her so tight he was scared he might hurt her. Alec didn't say anything, he took (Y/N)'s hand and dragged her out of the building. Then he stopped and said:
"Are you hurt?" Alec asked, panicked.
He looked at (Y/N) from head to toe to check if (Y/N) was physically okay.
"I'm okay." (Y/N) said in a very quiet voice.
"(Y/N), I'm so sorry." Alec declared as he hugged (Y/N) again. "Come on, let's go back to the Institute." Alec, who was still holding (Y/N)'s hand, started walking but (Y/N) didn't move.
"(Y/N)? What is it? Are you okay?" Alec asked, concerned.
"I'm just...I'm gonna come home tonight." (Y/N) said.
"Okay, yeah. If you prefer, let's go."
"Actually, I feel like being alone tonight. Get some rest, you know."
Alec was surprised and a little hurt but he tried not to show it.
"Are you sure?" Alec frowned.
(Y/N) nodded. Alec could tell something was up, but his mundane girlfriend just got kidnapped by vampires so he knew (Y/N) had every right to be upset.
"Are you sure you're okay? Is there something you want to tell me?" Alec asked gently.
"I just need to get some sleep. I'll see you around." (Y/N) quickly kissed Alec on the cheek and left. On his way to the Institute, Alec couldn't stop thinking about what Raphael said and how (Y/N) just behaved. He was worried sick, but he decided to give (Y/N) some time to tell him what happened exactly that night.

It has been a week since Alec didn't see (Y/N). She wasn't coming to the Institute like she used to do everyday. Alec called her a few times but she told him that she must have caught the flue or something. But everytime Alec proposed to come over and keep her company while she was sick, (Y/N) always declined the offer. She simply said that she didn't want Alec to get sick, but Alec knew it was a lie and that there was something she wasn't telling him. So after a few more days, Alec decided to get some answers. He went to (Y/N)'s house one afternoon.
"(Y/N), open the door." Alec said, knocking on the front door. "Come on (Y/N), I know you're in there!" He shouted.
"(Y/N) I'm not kidding, if you don't open the damn door, I'm going to force my way in." Alec waited but no one came to open the door. He took his stele out of his pocket and unlocked the door with a rune.
Alec made his way to (Y/N)'s bedroom and found her huddled up on her bed.
"(Y/N). Are you okay?" Alec asked.
"Go away, please." (Y/N)'s voice was trembling and it made Alec's heart ache. Alec walked to (Y/N)'s bed and sat next to her. He couldn't see her face, it was burried under the blankets. Alec put his hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder and he felt her stiffen under his touch.
"(Y/N)." Alec said softly but his voice was filled with concern.
"Go away." (Y/N) repeated.
"(Y/N). Look at me."
(Y/N) didn't move. Alec put his strong arms around her and lifted her slightly from the bed. (Y/N) tried to get away from him but she was weak. Alec was being very careful not to hurt her as he made her face him. (Y/N)'s hair was hiding most of her face and she was looking down.
"Look at me. Please." Alec said as he held (Y/N)'s chin up with his soft fingers.
When Alec saw (Y/N)'s face, it was a shock. She looked so tired and sick, almost dying. Her eyes were red and filled with tears and her lips were dry.
"(Y/N)...What's going on?" Alec asked as he stroked (Y/N)'s cheek.
"You need to leave." (Y/N) whispered.
"I'm not going anywhere. Not until you tell me what's going on."
"I'm breaking up with you." (Y/N) said suddenly.
Alec's eyes widened. "W-What?" He said confused and shocked.
"I'm breaking up with you, Alec." (Y/N) burst into tears.
Alec held her as she cried. He still couldn't believe it. She was breaking up with him.
"(Y/N), please tell me what's going on. I'm begging you." (Y/N) couldn't stop crying. "(Y/N), I need to know. Please, tell me." Alec's voice was trembling too. He was trying so hard not to cry but it was devastating for him to see the girl he loved in such pain.
"I'm...I'm one of them." (Y/N) whispered. "I'm a vampire." She backed away from Alec and walked quickly to the other side of the room. "Raphael turned me into one of them. He turned me into a monster!" (Y/N) shouted.
"Is this why you're breaking up with me?" Alec said. He was half relieved and half worried. "Because you're a vampire?"
"I can't be around you. I can't... I can't be around any of you! I don't want to hurt you. I'll never forgive myself if I did. I have to let you go. I have to stop seeing you. I can't, Alec. I can't live like this!" (Y/N) shouted and cried.
Quickly, Alec got up from the bed and walked to (Y/N). He didn't say anything, he just put his arms around her and held her tight.
"No! Let me go!" (Y/N) shouted and struggled, but Alec didn't let go. "Alec! Please. I don't want to hurt you." (Y/N) cried and pushed Alec away.
"Hey. Hey!" Alec shouted as he held (Y/N) by the shoulders, making sure if wasn't hurting her, she looked so fragile. "You're not gonna hurt me. (Y/N), look at me!" (Y/N) stopped struggling and looked at Alec. "You're not going to hurt me. You're not going to hurt anyone."
Alec's hands were shaking. He put one hand on each of (Y/N)'s cheeks.
"You can go through this. We are going to go through it together. I don't care wether you're a mundane or a vampire. For all I know you could turn into a wolf right now and I would still be deeply in love with you." Alec's voice was gentle.
(Y/N) looked surprised. She was so scared and convinced that Alec wouldn't love her anymore as soon as he found out about her being a vampire. (Y/N) started to calm down.
"Do you mean it? Do you really still love me? Even if I'm a monster?" (Y/N) asked quietly.
"Hey, you're not a monster." Alec started.
"I feed on blood, Alec. How doesn't that make me a monster?" (Y/N) had tears in her eyes.
Alec looked into (Y/N)'s eyes and for a moment he thought he could get lost in them forever.
"(Y/N), listen to me very carefully, alright? I am in love with you. I love everything about you, and even the things I don't like, I love. When I first met you, we were already from two different worlds, but it didn't matter to me. And it still doesn't. I am in love with you, I can't help it, I can't control it, and I don't want to." Alec declared.
He gently kissed (Y/N)'s lips and held her in his arms.
"I am in love with you, and I always will be. No matter what. And I don't want to see a world without you in it." Alec kissed (Y/N)'s forehead as hot tears rolled down her cheeks.
"I love you too, Alec." (Y/N) cried silently.
