hinata and shanz sat in the boat, waiting for the time to come. in the meantime, hinata handed shanz flowers to set adrift in the water. suddenly, shanz glanced up to see one lantern floating up into the sky slowly and she rushed to the front of the boat to get a better view, almost sinking the boat.

soon, crowds of lanterns floated upwards, following the first lantern, lighting up the sky. she gave a small sigh as she rested her head. after a while, she turned around to see hinata holding two lanterns, already lit up, waiting for her. excitedly, shanz came forward and sat down again before saying, "i have something for you."

she reached down to get the satchel she took from hinata.

"i should have given you before, but i was just scared," she said as hinata glanced at her curiously, "the thing is, i'm not scared any more. you know what i mean?"

giving a soft smile, hinata leaned forward and gave the bag a gentle stroke, then said, "i'm sorry too."

he smiled at her, and she smiled back, before taking one lantern from him. together, they let the lanterns go into the lantern-filled sky and watched them go. shanz seemed excited seeing the lanterns up close for the first time, and hinata watched her with an amused look on his face. a lantern came floating towards their boat and shanz set it back up into the sky again. slowly, hinata reached for her hand, and shanz stared at him, confused, before giving a knowing grin.

"and at last i see the light," they sang together.

"and it's like the fog has lifted," hinata sang.

"and at last i see the light," they sang again.

"and it's like the sky is new," shanz sang.

"and it's warm and real and bright," they sang once more, "and the world has somehow shifted. all at once everything is different, now that i see you..."

they leaned forward, and pascal immediately went red, before covering his eyes, but still peeping through his hands with one eye.

"now that i see you..." they sang, hinata moving a strand of shanz's frindge out of the way with one hand, the other still holding her hand.

slowly, his hand shifted to the back of her head, bringing her head closer to his as he leaned in, before letting their lips meet.
