in slow steps, akaashi approached the body of tea. she was lying there, as still as could be. the seven dwarves made way for him, hanging their heads low.
he knelt down on one foot and slowly brought his face close to hers, kissing her lips lightly. seeing that she did not move even after that, he buried his head into his hands, letting out a silent sob. in response, the dwarves bent their heads, so did the animals nearby, in rememberance of their friend.
suddenly, tea's eyes began to flutter open. dropping the bouquet of flowers onto the ground, she rubbed her eyes. slowly, the dwarves and animals glanced up to see the girl awakening when she wasn't supposed to, their eyes widening and jaws dropping in astonishment.
tea began to sit up as akaashi looked up, interlocking eyes. both grinning (though his smile was rather small and wry), he picked her up in his arms.
true love's kiss did work after all.
