when you're gone

it has been a while since tea died in a plane crash. it had been so sudden, and it hasn't been the same for akaashi ever since.

the pieces of my heart are missin' you

akaashi missed her dearly. he wanted to hold her, hug her, kiss her, and do the usual things he did for her.

when you're gone

the apartment was more quiet now that she was gone. akaashi couldn't get used to the silence. he wanted to see her sit at the piano and play it again, the songs that he loved to hear.

the face i came to know is missin', too

in the past, he would wake up and see tea's face right in front of him, her eyes shut and her face peaceful.

when you're gone

tea was always by his side, no matter what. she would be the one to give him those smiles that he loved and welcome him home.

the words i need to hear

tea would also be the one doing most of the talking. she would ask about his day, and let him talk first, before he asked her how her day was, and she went talking about either the annoying jerks in class, or the juniors in her choir team.

to always get me through the day

if they weren't talking about how their day went, they would have heart-to-heart talks and try to cheer each other up.

and make it okay

but she wasn't around anymore to do any of those things he wanted her to. she wasn't here anymore for him to treasure, cherish and protect.

i miss you

akaashi sank onto the floor in their bedroom, letting his tears fall. he wanted her here again, to be in his arms, anything. he would give anything to bring her back. but time cannot be undone, and there was no way of doing so. she was gone, and now only a memory resonating within his mind.
