he never knew taking care of someone who was sick could be that draining. to be more precise, someone who was down with chicken pox. namely, qq.

for the past few days, she had been lazing around and doing some revision of her work. and kageyama was the one looking after their meals and getting those detox drinks from her mom.

"qq, here's your drink," he said, handing her the drink.

"thanks," she said, taking the cup and heading to the floor of the living room.

since she had just gotten the virus (and looked as though she got rashes all over her face), it wasn't contagious. yet.

wiping his hands on the towel near the sink, he walked over to her and sat beside her. he was on the couch, and she was on the floor.

she got up to place the cup in the sink before getting stopped by him, saying, "give me the cup. i'll put it back instead."

"thanks," she said again, before proceeding to sit down and turning the television on.

after washing the cup, kageyama made his way back to the sofa again. bungou stray dogs season two was on television, and it was definitely keeping qq entertained.

"hey, qq?" he said.

"hm?" she hummed in response, not taking her eyes off the screen for a minute.

"once you get better, it'll be your turn to take care of me," he said, averting his gaze with pink tinted on his cheeks.

"what? are you sick?" she said, glancing at him.

"no," he answered before lowering his voice to add on, "i just want you to baby me like you usually do... tying my hair into some shit hairstyle, cooking me meals..."

"and lean on you," she added with a snort.

"s-shut up! dumbass!" he yelled, folding his arms with a pout and his face burning up.

"geez, tobio-chan, i get it," qq said, throwing a pillow at him, "so stop acting like a huge baby and take care of me for now, okay?"

"...fine," he muttered, "you big sick dumbass."

"that was rude!"
