Thanks for fanning, queen_so_what!(: It really means a lot to me! :D

I woke up, stretched, and tried to get out of bed. Tried is the key word there. As soon as my hand was applying pressure to my mattress, I heard a voice.

"Bad, Lex! You're supposed to be relaxing; you can't do anything that'll make you strain yourself!" A hand pushed me, gently, down.

I looked over next to me and, sitting on the bed's edge, was Jake. I frowned. "Straining myself and getting out of my bed to freshen up then going downstairs to eat isn't the same thing, Jake."

"What if you fall down when you go down the stairs agin?" Jake asked, following me to the bathroom to wash me brush my teeth and wash my face.

"Not funny, Jake." I told him, staring at him blankly.

Jake laughed, enveloping me in a hug. "Aw, you know I love you, Lex." He kissed me on head.

"Maybe I don't know it." I got out of his arms, sticking my tongue out at him. After I was done freshening up, I walked down the stairs, with Jake following me, watching my every move.

"You know, you should be back in bed, relaxing." Jake reprimanded me.

I rolled my eyes, sighing. "What if staying in bed isn't relaxing for me? What if lifting weights, jumping off cliffs, and doing all the homework for the year in advance helps me relax?"

"I know you, Lex, and I know that you love staying in bed. So why won't you stay in bed this one time?" Jake asked tiredly, running a hand through his hair.

"Well, I don't like being forced to stay in bed..." I muttered, finally reaching the last stair. Just because I'm lucky like that, I happened to trip on the last step, almost flying face-first onto the ground.

Jake caught me right on time- he had fast reflexes. He set me on my feet, shaking his head. Looking at me pointedly, he said, "See what I mean?"

I huffed out a, "Thanks," and walked away.

"Aw, c'mon, Lex. You aren't mad, are you?"

I scoffed. "No, why in the world would I be mad?"

"Good, because only losers get mad. You're not mad, right, Lex? 'Cause that would mean that you're a loser..."

I knew Jake was egging me, I just knew it. He made it oh-so-obvious. But, me being me, I took the bait anyways. "Are you calling me a loser?"

"Only if you're saying that you're mad."

"What if I am saying that I'm mad?"

"Then you're a loser."

"And if I'm not mad?"

"You're not a loser."

Shaking my head, I rolled my eyes. "You, Jake, know how to treat a lady."

Grining, Jake slightly bowed. "Thank you."

"But that doesn't mean that I'm not mad at you." I told him.

"So you're saying that you're a loser."

I stayed quiet, hoping that Jake would just let the whole thing go after a moment. A few moments of silence, and I sighed happily. Jake actually forgot about it!

"You're a loser! You're a loser! You're a loser! You're a loser! You're a loser! You're a loser!" Jake chanted.

Oh God, I spoke too soon. Banging my head on the table, I moaned. "Just kill me now."
