Happiness bubbled up in me. Jake took a sip! But doubt was creeping into my mind, I didn't know if he was thinking about me or one of his past girlfriends. If it was one of his past girlfriends... I mentally shook my head. I shouldn't be thinking negatively.

"You?" Jake whispered.

I took a deep breath. "I... fell in love with... this guy. It was kinda like love at first sight. I went out with him, and as I got to know more of him, I fell more and more in love with him."

Jake smiled softly, "Who's the guy?"

"You," I whispered. Silence followed my confession. I couldn't take the silence any longer. Looking up at Jake, I saw him beaming at me.

He picked me up, squeezing me in a bear hug. Kissing me on my lips, he whispered, "I love you too, Lex. I fell for you as soon as I spotted you. I fell even harder as I got to know you, too. Now, I've hit the bottom- I don't know if I could fall any more."

I smiled, kissing him on the lips softly.

Jake whispered against my lips, "I love you, Lex."

"I love you too, Jake." I replied happily, kissing him again.

"So you think you guys are going a little too fast?" Leah asked. We were at Dawn's house, in her room. They had shown up at my house, kidnapped me, and had proceeded to drag me to Dawn's car, while a stunned Jake just stood at the door. Now, we were watching TV and munching on Cool Ranch Doritos occasionally, while talking about my relationship with Jake.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "Yes. I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and, I mean, we were strangers practically days ago. Now, we just said 'I love you' to each other... Do you guys think we're going too fast?" I turned to them.

"Well..." Dawn started. "All things considering, I say yes."

I sighed again.

"But!" Dawn practically yelled. "You didn't let me finish. But, you guys seem like you're really into each other."

"Yeah," Nicole said, "All of us can see that you guys are head over heels for each other."

"So it's okay," Leah finished, smiling, "that you guys are going fast. It looks like both of you really, really care about each other."

"We do..." I trailed off.

"I feel a 'but' coming," Nicole said.

I nodded. "But, I mean, it's like we only met each other days ago. We started going out the third day that we've known each other. We just said 'I love you' earlier today!"

"You already said that," Leah pointed out.

"Because it's all true," I replied.

Dawn looked at me. "Do you love him?"

"Yes," I nodded.

"Does he love you?"

Again, I nodded. "That's what he told me."

"So who cares if you're going too fast?" Dawn asked. "You both love each other."

"But," I started.
