The days leading up to the party flew by quickly. Suddenly, it was the day before Nicole's party. It was already 12 o'clock. Jake and I were in my room, thinking of what song I was going to play at Nicole's party. I was strumming my guitar, thinking over what possible songs that Nicole might like.

"Did you think of a song yet?" Jake asked.

I shook my head. "Do you know what songs Nicole likes?"

"Well... she likes 'I'm Sexy and I Know It'."

"Haha- no. I'm not gonna sing that."

"'We Found Love'?"

I shook my head.

"What kinda song are you thinking about?"

"I dunno know," I shrugged.

Jake laughed. "You're not giving me a lot  to work with here, Lex."

"Well, I don't really know what-"

The door banged open and Dawn walked in smiling, with Leah right behind her. Going to where I was sitting on my bed. Both of them picked me up and dragged me out of the door.

"We're gonna borrow Lex for a while, Jake," Dawn said.

Leah grinned, "We'll bring her back around 3."

The last thing I heard before we went out the front door was Jake's laughter. Once we got into Dawn's car, I looked over at them, smiling. "Mind telling me where we're going?"

"The mall, of course!" Dawn said, backing out of the driveway.

I was confused. "Why are we going to the mall?"

"You didn't get Nicole a birthday gift yet, right?" Leah asked.

I shook my head.

"That's why; we're going to help you pick out a present for her!" Dawn replied happily.

"Speaking of Nicole, do you guys know what songs she likes?"

Leah thought for a moment. "Well... She's in love with Bruno Mars, ADELE, Katy Perry, and Ke$ha."

I nodded. "Thanks."

"So you don't know what song you're going to sing for Nicole's party yet?" Dawn asked, looking shocked.

"I kinda have ideas for some songs, but I'm not really sure yet."

"The party's tomorrow," Leah pointed out.

We got to the mall, and all of us got out of the car. Heading to the mall doors, I asked, "So where are we going?"

"Depends. What are you planning to get Nicole?"

"Depends. What does she like?" I smiled.

"Make up?" Leah suggested.

"She has a lot of that already, doesn't she?" Dawn asked Leah.

"What about clothes?" I asked.

"I dunno... Nicole can be really picky about her clothes sometimes," Leah told me.

"Jewelry?" Dawn said.

"Oh! She told me that she really needed a wallet and purse!" Leah told us.
