34- Birthday and Friendship

Azura’s POV

Today is my birthday. Yea, I'm now 24 years old. Maaga pa para mamaya. Pinakausapan ko kasi sila mom na kung pwede sana kasama ko din yung nga bata ngayon at pumayag naman sila. August 8 ngayon. I got up on bed and did my rituals before going down stairs. I was brushing my hair, when I heard knocks, "Come in." I said.

Bumungad sakin sina mom and dad, "Good morning, princess. Happy birthday." They both said in chorus while walking towards me.

I smiled to them, "Thank you, mom and dad." I said then hugged both of them.

My mom got my brush, and she's the one who comb my hair. Sweet parents. I miss it. When I was a little missy, she's the one who's combing my hair.

We’re just talking some random things and about our business. My father wants me to go back to Manila, because I'll be the one to manage it na daw, dahil hindi na naman daw ako bumabata, but I refused. Ayoko pa. I admitted to them that I am not ready. Buti na lang at hindi na sila nagpumilit pa. They understand me naman daw. After eating our lunch naghanda na sila mom para sa pagpunta namin sa playground. Yes, kasama ko sila mom and dad sa pag punta sa mga bata doon.

Nagising ako sa tunog ng alarm clock ko. Kaya pinatay ko ito at tumingin sa orasan, it's 3: 30pm. I got up on bed and suit myself para aalis na lang mamaya.

We're now heading to the playground, tanaw ko na ang mga bata na naglalaro habang naghihintay.

"Sila ba, anak?" my mom asked.

I smiled to them, "Yes." they just nodded their head.

Napangiti ako ng makita ko sila na napatingin sakin at sinalubong ako ng yakap, "Happy birthday, ate Ae..." Sabi nila na mas ikinangiti ko lalo.

"Thank you." I paused, "Grouphug!!!" I said happily.

"Hello kids.." My parents said. Napakunot na napatingin sila kanila mom at tumingin sakin. I smiled at them, "Kids, they are my parents. This is my mommy Chanaiah and this is my daddy Alex." I said at ngumiti naman sila at sabay sabay na binati sila mom and dad. Napangiti naman sila dad syempre pati ako.

"Hey, let's go to the field. Let's start the..." I said while smiling.

"Story telling!!!!" magiliw nilang sabi na nakapagpangiti naman saamin nila mom and dad.

"Tama! So, let's goooo.." I said.

Umupo na kami dito sa damuhan or field nagkanya kanya silang pwesto at nagtabi tabi, sila mom and dad naman ay nasa tabi ko, "Are you ready to listen?" I asked. "Yes po!!" they said.

I smiled to them, "Okay.." I paused then look at them one by one, "Once upon a time..." then I shared the story with action, Cinderella is the story I'm sharing. Natutuwa ako dahil hanggang ngayon ay nakikinig pa rin sila. Nakikisali na rin sila mom and dad sa pagiging story teller ko. Ito ang nagpapasaya saakin ngayon. Ang makapagpasaya ng mga bata, I'm happy because I can make them happy. I'm happy because they are enjoying what are we doing every day.

"And they lived happily ever after.." I said in a final tone.

"The End!!!" Sabay sabay na sabi nila.

"Ate Ae.. Masaya na po ba sila hanggang ngayon?" Xena said.

I chuckled, "Of course.." I said while smiling. "Are you guys hungry?" I asked.

"Yes po.." They said in chorus.

"Alright! Hungry na rin si ate.. Let's eat?" I asked.
