It's been a week since Jess's birthday. A week since we first said I love you. Since then Kat and I have gotten closer, she's rekindled everything with our friends. And Jess and I, well we're happier then ever.

"Oh my god move," I groaned to Jess who was lying on my back.

"I'm so bored give me attention Lex." She whined.

We had gotten home from school about two hours ago and Jess finished her homework, unlike me.

"Jess, can't you see I'm busy," I said.

She turned over, still on top of me, and closed my book.

"I was-" she cut me off by kissing me.

"Jess," I said against her lips.

She groaned and stopped kissing me," I hate you." She mumbled.

I chuckled," I love you too babe." I said kissing her cheek and grabbing my books.

As I started to work my phone rang. I sighed and answered.

"Hello?"

"BESTIE!!"

"Drew, now is not the time, I'm trying to do my homework."

"I was just letting you know my first soccer game is tomorrow after school," he said sounding a little dejected.

I sighed," sorry about sounding snappy bestie. You know I'll be there."

"Wow you're nicer to Drew than your own girlfriend." Jess said annoyed.

"I know. Anyway, we'll talk later bestie. Bye love ya."

"Love you." I said before hanging up.

I shook my head as I continued to work. Don't get me wrong here I'm not purposely ignoring Jess but I have a certain gpa to uphold or I can't play basketball.

Jess stood up and walked towards the door.

"Where ya going?" I asked her.

She stopped and looked at me," to the kitchen, not that you care."

"Jess-" she walked out.

I sighed and continued working.

I finished about 30 minutes later and put my stuff away. Jess hadn't come back yet so I went down to the kitchen.

"Uh, have you seen Jess?" I asked my mom.

She shook her head," no, I thought she was in your room."

"She walked out cause I wasn't giving her attention." I said rolling my eyes.

My mom chuckled and I left out. I looked all around the house but couldn't find her. Turns out she was in the backyard.

I sat down on the swing next to her," you mad at me?" I asked her.

She shook her head.

"You okay?" I asked.

She nodded.

I sighed and got up, squatting in front of her I said," wanna go out?"

She looked at me and smiled," okay." She said cheerily.

I chuckled and grabbed her hand.

"Jess and I are going out." I called to my mom.

"Don't stay out too late!" She called back.

We got in the car and I drove us to a Baskin Robins.

"YAY ICE CREAM!" Jess exclaimed as we parked.
