Luke couldn't sit still as he waited on Michael.
The older boy had been away in business for a few days, and Luke missed him so much. They barely had time to talk on the phone, and Luke was stuck at home by himself the entire weekend.
He cleaned the house and made the bed, wanting to surprise Michael in some way.
Luke placed his head in hands, feeling the stubble against his palms.
"Mikey, Mikey, Mikey..." he continued to mumble as he looked out of the window.
"Mikey!" He yelled and stood up as he saw the taxi pull up to the driveway. Luke jumped up out of his seat, and ran outside.
"I miss you!" Luke squealed, hugging Michael, causing the older boy to drop his bags.
Michael smiled, placing his hands on the back of Luke's head.
"I missed you too, princess." Michael whispered.
Luke leaned up and pressed his lips against Michael's, but the kiss didn't last long because Luke smiled.
"Hey, what do you say we go lay down? I'm really tired from the flight. I'll let you tell me all about your weekend." Michael said and Luke nodded quickly.
Luke grabbed Michael's suitcase and ran into the house with it.
Once Michael made it in, Luke grabbed his hand, and ran up the stairs.
Luke babbled on about stuff that happened while Michael was gone. It was a boring couple of days with Michael gone, so he mostly just talked about stuff that happened in his favorite shows.
Luke continued talking as the older boy removed his clothes, helping him into one of Michael's big shirts.
"I went for a run on Saturday, but there were so many dogs in the park I couldn't really get much running done." Luke said, and Michael laid down beside him.
"You stopped to pet every single one, didn't you?" Michael asked, and Luke smiled, proudly nodding.
"My baby..." Michael whispered, pulling Luke into his chest, hugging him tightly.
"I'm so happy that you're home. It's boring when you're not here. I haven't talked to anyone in forever." Luke mumbled, and Michael smiled, running his hand through the back of Luke's hair.
"Well, talk away, baby. I'm listening."
Despite his jet lag, Michael was going to stay up and talk to Luke. He was going to listen and let Luke talk his heart out because he knows it would make him happy.
