"good morning, mikey.." luke said softly when michael finally opened his eyes. he could already tell it wasn't gonna be a good day for michael just by the way he slept. he laid curled in on himself instead of holding luke close to him.
michael didn't have that many bad days, but when he did, luke liked to be there for him.
"good morning, baby."
michael rolled over, and faced luke who was propped up on his side. he scooted closer, and wrapped his arms around luke's waist, laying his head against the younger boy's stomach. luke laid back down flat, and let michael use his torso as a pillow.
"you feel okay?" luke asked quietly, his hands running through michael's hair.
"no, but laying with you makes it so much better."
luke nodded and frowned a little bit.
"i got up around 6 and called the pharmacy to refill your medicine, and i went and picked up those muffins you really like for breakfast.."
"luke, you didn't have to do that. i'm okay." michael said, and smiled a bit.
"i know, but i worry about you and i want you to be happy all the time. sometimes i'm scared that if you're not having a good day you might get mad- or something like that, and-"
"luke, i would never take it out on you. these days might completely suck, but i would never get mad at you or yell at you for something you can't control." michael said, placing a kiss to luke's hip.
"really?" luke whispered.
"of course. luke, you make me so happy." michael whispered.
luke smiled, and sat up, crawling down to where michael was.
"you make me happy too, mikey.." luke giggled, and sat on michael's lap.
"you're so precious.." michael whispered, and played with the bottom of luke's sweater. technically it was michael's sweater, but luke pretty much claimed it as his own at this point.
luke blushed, and leaned down kissing michael's nose.
"you promise you're okay?" luke asked quietly.
"i promise. my day is already so much better. i love you more than anything in the world, baby."
"i love you too."
