luke stomped into the house. he had a bad day at work, and he wanted to be with michael more than anything.

when luke is stressed out, he gets angry and frustrated. when he gets angry and frustrated, he tends to get emotional because he just doesn't know how to handle what he's feeling. he's always had issues with that.

luke ran up the stairs into their bedroom. he knew that's where michael tended to stay if he has a day off.

"mikey, i had a bad day." luke whined, and michael was sitting at the desk, typing on the desktop computer.

"i'm sorry, love." michael said, and luke pouted as he saw michael wasn't going to give him any attention.

"will you lay with me, please?" luke asked quietly.

"baby, i've gotta finish something for work, okay?" michael said, and luke whined, and stomped his feet like a child.

he knows he needs to lay with michael right now. he felt his frustration building up from his work day, and the traffic home. and now michael was busy. everything seemed to be working against him today, and he was exhausted from it.

michael was the only thing that could make him feel better.

"michael, please?" luke asked.

"baby, this is really important. i promise as soon as i'm done, i'll lay with you, okay?" michael asked, not looking back at luke.

luke groaned in annoyance. "yeah right."

he knows he shouldn't speak to michael like that, but it just keeps coming out.

"luke, please stop."

"what? you're the worst boyfriend ever!" luke groaned before he stomped out of the room.

he could already feel tears falling from his eyes as he walked into the guest bedroom. he was mad at work, he was mad at stupid people on the interstate, and now he was mad at himself for saying that to michael.

luke sat on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands, and just cried. it was the only way he knew how to release his frustration.

"what was that about?" michael asked.

"i didn't mean it." luke cried.

"i know. just tell me what's going on." michael said, and kneeled down on the floor in front of luke with his hands on the younger boys knees.

"everything just went wrong today, and i need you right now." luke cried. "im just frustrated, and i don't know why but i can't calm down, and-"

"baby, shh.." michael said once luke started to pull at his hair.

"-and you have to work but now i'm the one messing everything up because you said it was important, and i'm sorry."

"no, luke. absolutely not. you are not messing anything up. you are so much more important to me than work." michael said, but luke kept crying.

michael stood up, and held luke. the younger boys head was pressed to michaels stomach. he wrapped his arms tightly into michael's waist as he sobbed.

michael ran his hands through luke's hair, and sighed. he hated seeing luke in so much pain.

michael leaned down and picked luke up, holding him like a baby as he walked back towards their room.

luke couldn't calm down, and it started to worry michael a little.

michael laid luke's head against the pillow, and crawled on top of him. he laid down, and pressed his forehead to luke's, and placed his hands on the younger boys cheeks.

"baby, shh.. everything is going to be okay. you are not messing anything up at all." michael whispered, and luke's lip quivered as he sniffled.

he looked like a sad little puppy, and it broke michael's heart.

"please don't cry.." michael whispered, and cracked a little smile, "...i hate to see you so upset."

he could tell that luke was still on the verge of tears, so he pulled over luke's favorite blanket, and sat him up.

he wrapped the blanket around luke, making a hood over his head. he held luke on his lap, and the younger boy laid against michael's shoulder.

"if we watch mean girls will that make you happy?" michael asked, and luke smiled a little.

he nodded, and michael switched the channels. he smiled a little when luke became distracted by the tv, forgetting about everything going on.

"i love you, sweetheart." michael said after a few minutes, and kissed luke's head.

"i love you, mikey."

"i want you to just tell me when you start feeling like this, okay? how you feel will always be more important than anything to me."
