"i think i got us lost again.." luke whispered, and looked back at michael, shyly chewing on his nail.

"luke.." michael sighed, taking the map.

he looked over the paper while luke tried turning their phones back on. they've been in the city all day without phone chargers.

"i'm sorry," he whispered, and slid michael's phone back in his pocket.

"i told you that you had to keep watching. you don't pay attention..." michael mumbled.

"i thought i was. i was trying-"

"just be quiet for a second. let me figure out where we are." michael said, and luke knew he was annoyed.

"michael, i'm sorry. i can help-"

"you've done enough. we're lost in a random city, luke." michael muttered.

"but i-"

"you literally can't do anything without messing something up-"

"why are you so mad at me?" luke asked, his eyes filling with tears.

"i'm not mad!" michael spat, contradicting his statement.

"yes you are!" luke said, a tear falling from his eye.

"shut up, luke! just go away!" he yelled, and the younger boy jumped, and turned.

he ran from michael, and felt tears falling from his eyes when he realized that michael wasn't even following him.

he wiped his eyes, and hated himself for getting even more lost.

he sat on the edge of a fountain and softly cried as he felt little raindrops on him.

he didn't even try to run and find shelter as he sat in the rain. he doesn't know where he's at, and he doesn't know where anything is.

despite michael yelling at him, he wanted the older boy there with him.

luke just cried harder as the rain picked up, wanting to get on a plane and fly home.

"luke!" he heard michael yell.

he shook his head, and covered his face, not wanting michael to yell anymore.

"luke..." michael started, kneeling down in front of luke who was sitting on the fountain. "...baby, i'm sorry."

"no. i'm sorry. i ruined our trip. we're lost and-"

"we're not lost. you had it right. i overreacted before i helped you see where we were, and we're in the right place, okay? you did not ruin anything." michael said, wiping the rain from luke's forehead.

"but you yelled." luke cried.

"i know i did, and i'm sorry. you did not deserve that. you never deserve that. you're perfect, okay? you are so, so beautiful, and i don't want to see you cry anymore." michael said, wiping the tears from luke's cheeks.

it might be hard for most people to distinguish between the rain and the tear drops on luke's face, but it was easy for michael. every time he saw one of luke's tears his heart broke a little bit.

luke smiled a little bit, and ran the back of his hand over his face.

"do you forgive me?"

"maybe if you kiss me.." luke said, cracking a small smile.

michael smiled, and put his hand on luke's face, kissing luke softly as they both got soaked by the rain.

luke smiled a little bit, breaking their kiss.

"i love you.. even though we fight sometimes."

"aw, baby." michael said, and stood up, pressing his lips to luke's forehead.

"i love you so much more."
