Laurens's POV

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was still in the same cabin I was in earlier when Howe was trying to get me to be a snitch. I groaned, my shoulder throbbing because of how much it hurt. I looked up and saw Howe standing there.
"Glad to see your awake. Maybe now you'll be more corporative." He said, salty AF. I looked away, not making eye contact with him. I didn't want to see the devil that hid in the eyes of every Brit. In fact, imagining the devil in a Brit's eyes gave me chills and struck a bit of fear in me.
"Come on now, look at me." He said, more demanding me to do as he said. I didn't listen of course, and he lifted up his foot. He put his boot under my chin and made me look at him.
"Now if you want to be treated nicely, you better start listening to me." He smirked. I looked up at him and saw that he was eating something. My stomach growled as I smelt the food. I didn't realize how hungry I was and I bit my lip, trying to control my hunger.
"Hungry? I can see why, it smells good doesn't it? Beef stew..." he said, eating some of his food. My mouth watered but I shook my head and growled. This was just another British tactic to make me talk. 'No, no, don't fall for it!' I screamed in my head. 'You're stronger than that!' I gritted my teeth.
"I'd rather starve to death than give into your tricks." I said, pride in my voice. I had too much respect for my country. I wouldn't be such a yellow belly, I wasn't British, I wasn't a coward. I knew someone would get me out of here. I knew my Lafayette would save me, as long as I held on till then...

Lafayette's POV

I came close to the British camp, seeing their campfire light clearly. The redcoats were everywhere doing anything they could possibly do to stay on guard. 'How am I going to find Laurens with this jerks crawling all over the place?' I sighed, trying to figure out a plan. I regretted not going back to camp with Alex to get back up... But I wanted to rescue Laurens by myself, though if I got caught, that wouldn't really work now would it? But I knew I'd figure out a way to rescue him. I had to face facts though... I couldn't do this alone. I turned and ran back towards camp.
"Hang in there John, just a bit longer...." I whispered.
