Lafayette's POV
Months went by and the war grew more intense. Laurens, Hercules, and I grew to be the best of friends, we were inseparable. But as time went by, I grew to love John Laurens completely. I was constantly thinking of him and worrying about him, but I did pretty well at hiding my feelings. I don't know how Laurens would react if he knew and I was scared of that. Hercules knew how I felt and kept my secret. He had basically become his older brother, which also meant that Hercules watched me 24/7 so I wouldn't try anything.
It was a new day. The start of Britain's first surrender. The war had stopped for now but that didn't mean crap. King George was always looking for new ways to make us angry. But we decided to enjoy today anyways. The boys and I were drinking the day away, enjoying ourselves. I had noticed that when John got drunk, he sang- a lot. I was more sober than the other two because I preferred to drink wine than beer, but the bar we were at couldn't get wine. Disappointing to me but I would live, I'd drink a few shots instead. I watched as an old friend of ours come into the bar, his name was Aaron Burr and he seemed to be talking to a new comer of the town. I was going to go talk to him but Laurens burst out singing when the new guy looked over at us.
-Timeskip through the song Aaron Burr, Sir lol, I don't want to type out all the lyrics-
I laughed as I watch Laurens almost spill his drink on the new guy, Alexander Hamilton. Burr sat with me, not drinking a lot.
"Glad to see I'm not the only one not drunk out of my mind." I chuckled and elbowed Burr slightly. Burr only shrugged and took a sip of his beer.
"Let's have a toast to freedom. Something worth fighting for. Something they can never take away, no matter what they tell you." Laurens said, raising his glass, standing now. I looked up at him and his cheeks were a soft pink, and his eyes looked stars. My cheeks turned bright red as he looked down at me. He smiled and we all raised our glasses as well. I was silent, staring into his eyes as everyone else cheered.
Laurens's POV
I didn't know I was drunk, but I knew that I couldn't stop staring at Lafayette. I just couldn't stop staring at him, he looked hot. I laughed at myself in the back of my head because I was just thinking crazy thoughts, I didn't actually know what was even going on in my own head. I took a huge swig of my drink like everyone else before sitting back down. We drank for a few more hours then we parted from Burr and Hamilton. Laf helped Hercules and me back home. I was staying with an old family friend but I wasn't sure where Laf took Hercules. The last thing I remembered was passing out on the couch.
