"Hey, dad! I bought you coffee and breakfast," she says as she hands him the paper bag.

Yoongi was hunched over his table, furiously scribbling down lyrics on a notepad. His eyes became wide at the sight of hot coffee. "Ah, thank you. I was about to go down to the cafe but -

"You had an inspiration?" she finished his sentence. He always said the same thing. "Clearly. That notepad of yours looks just as worn out as you," she teases him.

He grunted, dismissing her jokes as he sips his coffee. Yoongi was always so grumpy in the morning. She would beg him to go home and sleep comfortably but that only made him grumpier. And she learned that even if she forcefully drove him home, he would end up locking himself in his office to continue working. Both she and Hoseok would rather he be grumpy in the studio than in the house.

"Dad misses you," she says.

"He always misses me," he teases lightly.

Yoongi was right on that point. She chuckled and stood to leave her dad alone with his work. "Well, come home for dinner and at least he would stop pestering me about it," she smiled.

-

She stepped out of the car with her mouth hanging wide open. This can't be a house. Had they been living here by themselves? The entire house was made of stone walls and floor to ceiling glass windows. It looked modern and elegant at the same time.

"Welcome home!"

The inside was just as amazing. The pieces of furniture were all beige, a warm contrast to the grey and white theme they had. The house was separated into two with the main foyer as the link.

"Your bedroom is on the second floor of the left building. Yoongi's office is right below it. Mine is on the right, along with our bedroom," her new dad said.

"I uh...I have my own room," she chuckled in disbelief. All her life she's always had two to three people with her in the same room. To say she lacked privacy was far from the truth.

"Listen, we want you to make yourself at home. This is where you live now, with us. Don't hesitate to come to either one of us for anything. Alright?" he says.

She took another look around the home, her new home. And standing in front of her were her two new dads. They had their arms around each other, smiling at her, eager to be new parents. Even though it was her first night with them, she already felt like they were a family.

-

"How was work darling?" Hoseok asks.

They were dining on the porch by the pool. That night the sky was stunning that they decided to dine under the blanket of twinkling stars. Yoongi had came home early and surprised Hoseok with a bag of groceries. They spent hours together in the kitchen, cooking and god knows what else. She was just glad that she wasn't home.

She groans at the reminder of work. "Coming up with a fresh concept for the group is trickier than I thought."

Her dads were never frugal when it came to her studies. The second she was settled in, all they talked about was her education and her interests. She was grateful for everything they did for her. After university, they were pleased when she decided to work closer to home, under Yoongi's record company.

"It's understandable. There's been decades of group concepts used and recycled," says Yoongi. "But if someone's going to come up with something different, it's going to be you."

His comment made her shoulders lighter. Compliments from Yoongi are always precious to her. Only because they come so rare. Throughout the years there have been people criticising their family for the fact that there were two dads and an adopted daughter. It was abnormal. But she wouldn't want to change it for anything. All it mattered was the love they had for each other.

-

She finished unpacking her clothes and sat on her bed. The view she had in her room was breathtaking, thanks to the huge glass window. Her room was twice as big as the one back in the orphanage. It was definitely something she had to get used to. Even her bed was queen sized, bouncy and full of pillows.

The smell of food wafted up to her room, making her stomach growl and mouth water. She took a deep breath before taking the steps down to the kitchen. She couldn't help but feel nervous around the house her new dads. It was all still new to her.

"Hey! Join the party!"

Her new dads were in the kitchen having a laugh over a work story. Music was playing, bottles of beers clinking and pans were sizzling. It really was like a party.

"I've got a question," she started off awkwardly as she stood by the kitchen island. "What do I address you as?"

A loud laugh erupted from one of them, "Ah don't need to be so formal with us. You can call us dad when you're comfortable. In the meantime, you can call me Hoseok. That one you can call Yoongi." He gave a cute smile to his partner.

A smile crept upon her own lips. It was adorable to see them this way. There wasn't much love expressed in the orphanage so it was refreshing. She sat down beside Hoseok at the kitchen island and watched Yoongi man the grill.

"We've got a question for you too," Hoseok said as he swivelled his stool to face her. "How do you feel about having two dads?" His face was etched with concern. It was clear that their relationship was taboo to most people.

"Frankly, I love it," she chuckles. "No mother to nag at me."

They laughed along with her, nodding their heads. The entire night, she had a smile on her face and it lasted for the rest of her life. Not a day goes by without her feeling extreme gratitude for the love they gave her. She never needed to know why they picked her.
