// Chapter 2 - Grim Reapers in a Unicorn World //

Today, Taehyung woke up to a beautiful morning - the sun rose gently, its golden rays streaming through his window to, caressing his cheeks, the birds chirped to a soothing melody and the coffee maker he bought off a garage sale didn't shock him when he plugged it into the socket.

It truly was just charming, to the point where it distracted him from the aching pain dotting his face. Fuck, Jungkook can sure throw punches where it really hurts. He had come home to dried blood painting his face and a blooming bruise on the corner of his lips. It almost ruined his breakfast but the golden Eggo waffles helped him through with it.

Full with breakfast and a skip in his steps, he strolls to his bike where it was sitting like a majestic beast. It was a Ducati scrambler that he had saved up months for. Taehyung's lips lifted into a smile as he smooths his fingers over the polished coffee black plating, and then over to the dark brown leather seating. As he climbs onto his pal, it sways to the side, exposing the subtle gold rims shining under the glint of the sun.

She was a beauty that he loved to death. Even the sound of her growling to life when he switches the ignition gets him sighing like a fool. Getting a second part-time job at a restaurant was all worth it, he thought. His day was going amazingly as he roars past the early joggers and men in suits driving off in a hurry, even waving to them. Nothing could ruin his day.

Or so he thought.

Taehyung turns the corner, heading towards the street that ran between Thornberrys and Monday's - a brunch restaurant - when he sees Lucifer. The nearer he got, the more he felt cross. There Jungkook was, on his bike, parking at Taehyung's spot like nobody's business. Seriously, since when did that kid get a fucking bike?

A parking spot may not seem like a big deal to some people, but in this particular street, the spot Jungkook had taken, belonged to Taehyung - has been since a year ago. That particular spot was perfect for his bike. It was shaded by a small tree - not too big that birds would flock to and risk getting his bike covered in their shit - it wasn't near the fire hydrant - where a ton of dogs would stretch their legs and pee - and it wasn't behind the graying old man's Camry where he would crash into Taehyung's bike when he backs up.

Taehyung stops his bike right beside Jungkook as the younger boy was taking off his helmet, still perched on the seat.

"That's my spot," he huffs after flipping over his visor. He was glad the full face mask was hiding his pout.

Jungkook sighs as he runs his hand through his hair, messing it up more than it already was. His fringe flutters under the wind, a strand catching onto his brow piercing. The boy keeps licking his split lip trying to soothe it, and as he runs his tongue across, it moves the silver ring on his lower lip. For a split second, Taehyung's imagination ran wild, thinking about what it would feel like to run his own tongue on it.
