// Chapter 1 - A Clash of Bad Boys //

If he'll be honest, Taehyung finds himself to be a person who craved attention. He loved the little not-so-secret glances girls and boys gave him whenever they sat by the tables of the frozen yoghurt store he worked at. He relished whenever they would whisper things about him - bad or good, he took it as a compliment that they would spare time to do it. And he basked in all the numbers he receives, scrawled on the back of napkins that they would leave for him.

If anyone were to ask how he had such great skin, he'd give credit to all the boys and girls whose hearts would skip a beat whenever they see him strolling in - black tattoos sprinkled all over his arms, piercings adorning his ears, heavy boots stomping on the floor and that slouchy beanie everyone crooned over.

The only one that seemed to be immune to his charms was his manager, Namjoon. He would always claim that Taehyung's so-called charm was merely his rebellious teenage inner-turmoil sprouting out of his body in the form of black clothes and bad decisions. Taehyung was 23, too old to be a teenager, but that doesn't stop the older boy from looking at him like he was a depressed baby.

But regardless of Namjoon's constant criticism, Taehyung took pride in the fact that he was the resident's bad boy. People would know it's him just by the sound of his bike roaring down the street. Even though his reputation hasn't been Pulitzer Award standards, he was still a sweetheart to his neighbours. He'll only exude his alpha persona when he smells trouble. And that trouble soon came in the form of Jeon Jungkook.

"Kim!" Namjoon barks, calling him from the back room.

From his slouching position over the counter, Taehyung lazily saunters the few meters over to the open door. He spots the older boy sat upright in his managerial seat.

"You know, your last name is Kim too. Isn't it weird if you call me that all the time? It's like calling yourself almost," he drawls.

Namjoon squints his eyes as he takes in Taehyung's sloth-like demeanour, his lanky figure leaning on the door frame. "Are you high?" he asked in an accusatory tone.
