@margotkatefranklin: "And they all look me up and down like I'm the fucking new kid...
But I saw the sun rise on this town way before you did." --Hell Nos And Headphones, Hailee Seinfeld

"Coming to the studio today?" Liz asked. She sometimes works the front desk or helps with other things when she's not busy taking photos.
I sipped my coffee and shrugged.
"Should I?" I asked.
"Doesn't matter to me. If you did, there's a chance you could possibly talk to that cute Miles kid," she said with a smirk.
"What is it with you and trying to set me up with guys I don't even know?"
"Because I am your loving sister who wants to help you out in life. But you're not cooperating so well," she answered.
"Well, I'm sorry that I don't like every single guy I have met in the week I've been here, Liz," I replied, rolling my eyes.
"Well, you should definitely start liking one of them. Good guys are not easy to come by. I would know," she said, grabbing her purse and keys.
"If you wanna come with, I'm leaving," she added, dangling her keys.
"Fine," I groaned, and she smirked. I followed her outside to her Jeep.
She put her sunglasses on, put her keys in the ignition, and smiled. She blasted the radio, which was playing "Stay" by Alessia Cara, and began to sing at the top of her lungs. Even though she was singing jokingly, she was good.
I guess it's just a family thing.
We jammed out to a few songs before making it to the studio.
"I'm going to help Dad. I'll let you know if I see Miles. Or Shawn," Liz said with a smirk, and I rolled my eyes.
"Please don't," I told her as we got out of the car.
We both walked inside and Liz headed to Dad's office. I decided to explore a little, and hopefully find an open recording room.
I opened the door of Studio B and it seemed to be empty. I stared at all the buttons on the table, lights blinking. It was pretty atheistically pleasing, actually.
I couldn't help but push a button. I don't even know what it does.
"What are you doing?"
Apparently it scares the living shit out of me.
My head jerked up, and I still saw nothing.
"Who's in here?" I asked.
"In here. Well, down here."
I assumed "in here" met instead the actual recording room with the mic. I gently opened the door, and looked "down."
It was the Shawn kid. Sitting on the floor.
Ok then.
"How could you see me from the floor?" I asked, putting a hand on my hip.
