Here's the thing: Miles, the one who works for Margot's father, has been dating Liz, Margot's older sister, for a few months now. So Miles, who is kind of one of my only friends in LA, gets some valuable information about Margot from Liz.
Which sounds very creepy like we're going all FBI on Margot, but it's not. Relax.
So today he tells me that he heard Liz talking to Margot on the phone the other day about how Margot is possibly dating another guy.
"What?" I asked.
"Liz said that whoever this guy was had liked Margot for a long time and Liz was telling her how maybe she should just give him a chance because it's time for her to move on," Miles said with a shrug.
Liz, come on. Who's side are you on here?
"So they're not dating? Yet, I mean?" I asked, not trying to sound as anxious as I did.
"I don't think so. She didn't say anything about them actually dating. It sounded more like debating whether or not she should date him," he told me.
Anger was building up inside of me, and I didn't know how to stop it. We're not together, she can go out with other guys. I don't know why I am so protective over someone who's not even mine.
"Did she say his name?" I asked.
"No. But I did hear Liz say it was like Margot's best friend's brother. I think," Miles told me.
Her best friend was Remi. So Remi's brother?
I pulled out my phone and went to Instagram. Time for an investigation.
I quickly found Margot's profile. I realized there was a picture I hadn't seen yet.
I stared at it.
