"Falling for you is dangerous. I can't control my own emotions, my own movements when I'm with you. If I fall in love, you know what will happen next between us. The fall," I said.
There was silence between us for a few moments, and my heart pounded...
@margotkatefranklin: i'm so sick of that same old love
• • • two months later March
"I'm so sick of that same old love, that shit, it tears me up. I'm so sick of that same old love, my body's had enough. Oh, oh, oh, that same old love. Oh, oh, oh, that same old love!"
Remi and I were jamming in my car on our way home from school. It's a special moment when you're listening to your own song on the radio on your way home from school. I don't think many kids experience that.
"Margot, this is so dope! I can't believe you wrote and sang that and now it's on the radio for everyone to hear!" Remi said happily. I smiled and shrugged.
My album had dropped at the end of January, but Same Old Love was my single. It was actually a pretty big hit. I was surprised to even hear it on the radio the first time, and now I've heard it quite a few times.

(^lol I have WAY too much time on my hands🤷🏼♀️)
The album is also doing super well. I'm getting tons of good feedback about the songs, and tons of people are tweeting me pictures and videos and just saying how they love me. It's absolutely crazy. People even notice me all the time on the street and I'm also doing a spread with Teen Vogue in May. So I'm feeling pretty good.
I've been pretty distracted, as expected, so I'm a little worried about finals grades in a couple months and all these tests and things I have to do. I've always been at the top of my class, but recently I've been in a bit of an education slump. Oops.
Good thing I'm not trying to get into a really good school or anything, because I would not get in with the grades I'm about to get on my finals.
Go me.
I'm planning on taking classes at UCLA because it's close to my dad's house and I can easily go to school and work on music. The awesome part is that Remi was accepted into UCLA even before I was going to go there because she's going into pre-med there. So we get to (sort of) go to college together like we had always hoped and dreamed.
I pulled into Remi's driveway and her older brother, Jude, you know, the one I've mentioned before who allegedly has had a crush on me our whole teenage lives, was out mowing their lawn.
