Authors Note:

As I was writing this chapter I realized it was getting very long, so I decided to split it into two chapters. I'm going to expand a bit on the other half and try to have it up maybe later today or tomorrow.

Anyways, I hope you like the chapter. :). Sorry for the wait.

Chapter 58

Avery's POV

I groan as I'm awakened by someone banging on my door. "Come on you two, wake up!" I hear Evan yelling. "We got to get on the road soon if we want to avoid traffic. And it would be pointless to leave without you!"

"Alright! Stop yelling!" I yell back and the banging stops.

"People really like banging on your door, don't they?" I hear Mia mumble next to me.

"It would seem so," I say with a small yawn. I turn over and smile when I see Mia's naked body hugging one of my pillows with her eyes still closed.

I move half my body on top of her and start kissing along her shoulder blade, and she gives me a soft string of moans in response.

"Avery," she moans. "We don't have time for this."

"Sure we do," I say against her back as I move my hand down her body and between her legs.

"Avery," she moans again as I part her thighs and start running my fingers through her. "Avery, seriously," she moans.

"We can make time. It'll really help my nerves," I say and I suddenly feel her starting to move under me. With a sigh, I pull my hand away and move off her.

She moves to lay on her side next to me. "Why are you nervous?" she asks softly and I sigh again.

"I've never met a girlfriend's parents before," I say and she seems surprised.

"Really?" she asks and I nod.

"Adrianna is the only other girlfriend I ever had and I met her father long before we ever got together. And when we did he already hated me, so I wasn't worried about impressing him," I confess and she lets out a soft laugh before leaning in and gently kissing me.

"Avery, there is no need to be nervous. You don't need to try and impress my parents. All you need to do is be yourself and I guarantee that they will love you," she says and a smile forms on my lips.

"Really?" I ask and she smiles back at me.

"Yes, really. You're amazing and they'll definitely be able to see that. So don't worry!"

"Okay!" I say and she leans in and kisses me again. When she pulls away she gives me a beautiful smile as she tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear. "How can you still look at me like that?" I suddenly ask and she gives me a look of confusion.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean how can you look at me like everything is still the same. Like nothing has changed," I say nervously. "How can you look at me the same way you did before I told you everything I did last week?"

I'm waiting for her to say something but instead she just moves closer to me and cups my cheek in her hand before leaning in and slowly kissing me. "I love you," she says when she pulls away from me. "That's why I still look at you the way I do. The only thing that's changed is now I know. It hasn't changed the way I feel about you or what I think of you," she says softly as she looks into my eyes.

I give her a small smile. "I know you love me, and I didn't think telling you would change that. But everything has been so normal, you've treated me so normally. I've never once felt like the way you looked at me has been any different... you've never looked at me like you felt sorry for me. You've also been treating Liam the same. Other people who have found out ended up, at the very least, being uncomfortable around us," I say and she looks deeply into my eyes.
