"Damon? Why are we here?" Elena sighed and looked around, nervous.

"Don't worry, I'm not here to murder you." Damon sounded annoyed, which scared Elena even more.

"Damon, I want to leave." She whispered and felt the cold wind hit her back. Even though it didn't bother her anymore after the change, she still cringed.

"This is your territory now, Elena. You're the hunter, not the prey. Act like it." Damon told her as she scanned the gravestones for the names Gilbert.

"I don't care, Damon. I need to get out of here." She cried and he wrapped his arms around.

"Then how will you ever face your fear?" His warm breath blew into her ear and she shivered.

"What fear?" Her eyes grew wide and she swayed against the wind.

She was suddenly in a never ending-outside. No buildings were in sight, except for a large rock and a jumble of chains. She followed the chains with her eyes until they ended. They were wrapped around a little boy. A little Damon.

It was her that was holding Damon now and it was him that was staring at the boy in fear. His black eyes were wide.

"Elena?" He asked, without taking his eyes off of the boy.

"Elena, I need to get out of here." He whispered and tried to run, but she grabbed him and pulled him back.

"How else will you face your fear?" Elena murmured into his ear with a smile, somewhat copying his words from earlier.

"What fear?" He turned back to the miniature version of him, who was now crying.

"Elena. What fear?" He said in a strained voice. His cold black eyes were staring into her big blue eyes.

"Elena?" He grasped her arms and started shaking her.

"Elena!" He shouted and she was about to tell him what his fear was, when she suddenly gasped.

Elena Gilbert opened her eyes. She was actually staring into hard black eyes.

"Elena?" Damon sighed and sat back on the bed.

"How did I get on the bed? And why the hell am I asleep?" She realized the problem right away.

Damon looked over at her worriedly.

"Elena, babe, what's wrong?" Her face was full of horror and Damon was getting frantic.

"Damn it Elena! Talk to me!" He begged in a loud voice, which made her jump.

"Damon," She said slowly, "I was a asleep."

"Ya? And?" She was getting frustrated by his responses and she screamed.

"What, Elena? What is it?" She was about to slap his face...

She was confused.

What had gotten into her?

"I'm a vampire Damon! Do vampires sleep?" His eyes grew wide and he followed her when she got up.

"What. The. Hell." Damon breathed out and stared at his pacing dark princess in the dim light.

"So what does this mean?" Stefan asked, glancing at Elena every so often.

"I don't know. Do you think you would be here if I knew what was going on?" Damon growled and crossed his arms over his chest.

Damon had called Stefan, Bonnie and Meredith back to the dorm for help.

"She could be different." Bonnie whispered into the silence.

"What do you mean?" Damon's head snapped up and he crouched down in front of Bonnie.

"I don't know. Think of her rocket fuel... it must have an effect." She sounded more sure of herself the more she talked.

"Well... that only leaves one question..." Damon stood up and pulled Elena into his arms. "What other disadvantages does she not have to deal with as a vampire?"

That only brought on more questions.
