They all met in Stefan's and Bonnie's room, trying to form a plan on what to do next.
"We have little money and no car." Stefan stressed and Elena ran a hand across his back soothingly, causing Damon to glare at them.
"You can always influence people." Bonnie surprised everyone by saying, and, of course, good St. Stefan neglected that option.
"I wouldn't feel comfortable." He stated and Damon smirked.
"Of course you wouldn't." He already knew his brothers problem of constantly denying his true nature and letting his powers reach their full extent. "But I would."
"Of course you would." Elena snapped, rolling her eyes, yet a smile tugged on her lips.
"How about we find out if this dump has a breakfast bar, before we try anything risky?" Damon suggested, upon hearing Bonnie's stomach growl.
"Doubt it." Elena muttered, slinging an arm around Stefan's back, leading him to the door.
Damon stared after her, a longing look on his face.
"Meet you two down there?" She winked, shutting the door, leaving Damon and Bonnie in the room, together.
It stayed silent, Bonnie staring at Damon, and Damon staring at the floor. Bonnie was the first one to break the silence.
"So how are... things?" She said awkwardly and Damon's head snapped up, a questioning look covering his features.
"What?" He was confused by what she meant, even though he had a pretty good idea.
"With... Elena?" Bonnie wished that she had never brought this up in the first place, Damon looked like he finally understood, but this topic was unavoidable.
Just great.
Damon thought, trying not to show any emotion.
"Fine." He sighed and Bonnie stepped forward. She brought her hand up to cup his cheek, surprising me.
"We'll figure this out." She assured him.
Although Bonnie wasn't showing any sign of hurt or sadness, he knew she was feeling it, inside.
"Bonnie..." His voice broke. "I know this is killing you, but-" He got cut off, by the softness of her lips.
He didn't know she was crying until salty tears hit his cheeks and lips. She didn't moved her lips, just pressed them to his mouth. She pulled back, a small smile on her lips.
"We will. We'll get Elena back." She said in a strong voice. "You'll get Elena back."
They stared at each other, and Damon suddenly caught her, her body collapsing into his arms.
"Coming..." He heard a faint whisper leave her lips. "I'm coming." He knew that it wasn't her saying this, it was whoever was in current possession of her body, that was speaking.
Meredith did not know where she was, the last thing she remembered was walking to that grimy-looking hotel.
She blinked multiple times, sitting up, and staring at a blank grey wall. She heard the sound of footsteps approach and she was on her feet instantly.
She was slow, though, whatever this person had done to her, or whatever drug they had given her, it had slowed her movements down.
"Oh good." Said a half-cheerful voice. "You're up." The tone of the voice changed to uninterested and simply, bored.
She turned her head, in what felt like slow motion, and saw a blurry, shaking image of a black-haired male.
She realized that the whole room was tilting, back and forth, back and forth.
"Where-" She started to ask, but he rudely interrupted.
"Are you?" He smiled, not a friendly one. "In a hotel- no, let me correct myself, motel room. This place is a shithole, no where near as nice as a hotel." He said, amusement filling his voice.
"Who-" She was getting really annoyed with this man, and him cutting her off.
"Am I?" His smile darkened and he almost frowned. "You'll find out, soon." He told her, and something in his tone made her not want to. But she knew she had to.
"Now..." He spoke again, breaking the quietness and her trail of thoughts and possibilities. "Let's see where your friends are, shall we?"
"Found anything good?" Damon's voice filled Elena's ears and her head lifted, along with her gaze, to find him close. Too close.
"Cereal." She grimaced, stepping to the side, away from him.
"Granola?" He smirked, holding up a bar. She snatched it out of his fingers, causing him to chuckle.
"Thank God. Mouldy Cheerios do not sound appetizing." She split the wrapper into two and bit into it, her fangs ripping a piece off easily.
She almost choked it out. It tasted absolutely horrible. She coughed it into her hand, holding the salvia-filled piece up to Damon's face.
"And that does?" He scrunched up him nose, while she smirked, tossing it onto the table.
Right now, he forgot that she had black eyes and that she was trying to get his little saint of a brother back, they were together, and flirting.
She made him feel alive.
Someone cleared their throat and Damon looked up, glaring at the saint, himself. Stefan smiled under his intense gaze, watching Elena run to him, like a child to a present... or dog, or parent.
"Stefan!" She shrieked.
She also made Damon feel dead.
She pulled away from their -unnecessarily tight- embrace. Her face instantly went to worried, something else that made Damon forget that it wasn't really Elena. Especially with her back to him, those black holes hidden from his.
"Has anyone noticed that Meredith isn't here?" She whispered, looking around. Only Bonnie, Damon and Stefan were in sight.
Oh shit. Forgot about that one. Isn't she hurt, too?
Damon cursed himself and pulled Bonnie to his side, trying to get a move on with this search mission.
"No need to look." A familiar voice called out to them, and they all stopped in their hurried walk. "I've got her right here."
The guy that crashed into them, came into view, holding Meredith. Bonnie's eyes widened, Damon and Stefan froze, but Elena just smirked.
The person possessing Elena was obviously related to this guy.
*AUTHOR'S NOTE*
So, I don't want to admit this, but I totally forgot about Meredith in chapter 28, because she wasn't that important. So I made some shit up about what happened to her.
Sorry it's so short :(
If the episode's good tonight, I'll update tomorrow! Thanks bitches!
Bye! :)))
